Nice Knife for Everyday Carry
Just received this knife and I am immediately pleased with my purchase. Sharp out of the box; sharp enough to easily cut paper. It is small, but that is exactly what I wanted. Large knives are sometimes cumbersome to carry on the belt, especially when getting in an out of a car, or in my particular case, under firefighter turnout gear. I initially wanted to buy this knife as a kind of 'connection' with the Medieval past. It indeed looks authentic. Although often advertised as a "Celtic" knife, it also appears as a Viking knife as well, and is dated elsewhere to the Germanic Iron Age. BTW, it is not a 'pocket knife' (since pockets really weren't a thing in that era), but rather a finger knife or neck knife. A lot of these knives are carried around the neck and I wanted mine to be primarily a belt knife, so this fits the bill. That said, the belt loop would make it easy to convert to a neck knife if desired by simply threading through a leather string. The leather sheath seems sturdy and the belt loop as well. As the picture shows, it is easy to hold and use, and the small curve at the end of the finger grip provides a safe 'stop' so that you don't end up holding the blade itself. Again, initially pleased with the purchase and would have no reservations recommending it.

Craftsman eye catcher-SHARP
I am a avid hiker and camper looking for new tools all the time. My wife actually found this and gifted it to me for Christmas. I give her and this knife five stars because of its uniqueness, craftsmanship, quality , and sharpness. I actually cut myself during my first withdrawal from the sheath. Since Christmas I have been carrying it on my belt and found it is quicker to access than my pocket knife and for most cases suits all my needs. My son (hiking partner) is so jealous he didn't get one. Men and Woman I highly recommend this knife and I am certain you will become the envy of others as you showcase this unique piece.

Nice ornate concealed carry piece
I’m ordering a second one as a gift after receiving the first. I saw some negative reviews and felt it was important to counter them. Yes this is a small concealed carry type ornate piece. It’s very pretty and very sharp. It’s not a high quality metal that’s going to hold an edge but that’s to be expected given the size and the fact that it’s a bit of a novelty. I’d expect it to sharpen easily . It’s designed to have a finger laced through the loop and then your fist closed around the handle. Someone was complaining about it being useless due to size. The blade is substantial if held properly and would certainly do the job.

Quality and sharp.
Bought as a Christmas gift. My Son loves it. Sharp outta the box, and great quality. Will last a lifetime.

A good thing in a small package.
I've collected a lot of odd knives but this one really grabbed me. First, the sheath is perfect with neat, tight stitching that holds the knife in place perfectly. The knife itself is small but it's used like a caper with the index finger guiding the blade and the ring finger steadying it. A quick rub down with WD-40 and it was ready to go.

Knife is good, sheath could be improved.
Knife is good and sharp. The sheath was plain non-colored leather with a Celtic stamp on the front, it wouldn't take much to apply some dye to the sheath. I did this in a medium brown color and it NOW looks awesome. Pay attention to the little details.

It's not secure
It's a cool knife and seems to hold an edge. But it's not secure in the sheath at all. I put in a piece of rubber and it worked great.

Handy For Quick Jobs, Self Defense
As an older woman, I wanted something artistic and light, but that I could use in my fist easily if I were ever attacked. I'm my state, at least, you can legally conceal carry a knife with a 4-inch or shorter blade; this entire knife is about 3 inches long, and while I pray I never need to use it for self defense, I'm confident it would get me out of a tough situation. A blacksmith friend thought it was well made!
