Two years ago we adopted a six year old, 80 pound Lab that was over-used as a breeder. The sweetest dog who most likely lived in a barn. She was heart-worm positive. She was greasy and smelled musty all the time. We gave her baths frequently with anti-fungal shampoo. She scratched so much she would get skin infections and needed frequent vet visits and expensive heavy-duty antibiotics. Vet said it was yeast. We changed her food multiple times. Even the $140 food didn’t help. This is the only product I ever saw that said it was specifically for yeast overgrowth. Yes, $40 is expensive for a little jar but it lasts a month and definitely worth a try if your dog has yeast. She’s a different dog! I give her one teaspoon a day and mix it in beef broth. I pour it over her food and she licks the bowl. Now I can give her good, limited ingredient food and the price difference pays for the Yeast Guard. I have it on auto ship. I’ve used it for 5-6 months and her skin and fur continue to get better. I just wish I’d known about it sooner. I think this is only the second review I’ve ever written. I am very fond of this brand and purchase products often. Although, my shorkie did not respond well or improve. Perhaps it’s more of a dermatitis condition. I would not hesitate to buy the product just be sure you have a proper diagnosis. That’s what needs to be developed a way to get a proper diagnosis for your dog. I’ve been taking my dog to the same vet for the last year and a half, and he still hasn’t come up with an effective treatment..

This product works to reduce yeast imbalance if you also cut out carbs from your dog's diet. I stopped feeding kibble and no high carb veggies in the home made food. The symptoms will get worse the first week or so due to yeast die off in your dog's body but I stuck with it and it has worked.

This has helped greatly in reducing my fur babies scratching and paw licking. I highly recommend it

This product has turned my dog’s whole life around and I really can’t praise it enough. My poor old guy is the yeastiest dog most people (including at least two vets) have ever seen. He’s a rescue chow chow, so his wrinkles are generally pretty affected, then his paws, underarms, and (of all things) neutering scar have been hotspots for most of his 10-year life. It’s been everything I can do—regular ACV/water wipe-downs, weekly chlorhexidine baths, constant bedding laundering, protein alternation, then raw and grain-free diets, the list goes on—just to keep his yeast at a level he can barely tolerate without antidepressants. This little miracle powder has changed everything. We’ve been using it for two weeks, and he’s a different dog. His itching has decreased dramatically and his skin, even his worst areas, is improving each day. He’s able to sleep through the night without constantly waking up to scratch, so he’s happy and lively during the day again. I’m writing this review because I went to apply his ACV today and didn’t have to for the first time in months. Not even to his underarms!! I know the price point feels a little steep to try when you’re worried it might not work, but if my dog is anything to go by, you’re going to wish you’d bought it sooner. I am so thankful! Now I’m telling everyone about this stuff and my second jar arrives today as backup just in case there’s ever a wait. Five stars don’t feel like enough!! TRY IT FOR YOUR PUP!!
