Does this work in the dark?

It depends. is it a wet dark or dry dark. The charger is not rated for wet dark so should not be used when it is both wet and dark. But it works perfectly in the dry dark. I have noticed that it gets darker when you plug it in when it is already completely dark. You should use a flashlight when plugging it in when dark for safety, but remember a flashlight will limit the products dark performance while the flashlight is on.
