good for the money
nice door closer, replaced a more expensive LCN model and works well

Nice closer. Was much cheaper than the one I got the price for at my local glass repair shop. My door works so great now. I would definitely recommend getting this. 🤞 It stands up to time/usage.

It’s way too early to say how durable this closer is. I just installed it on the entry door of a small grocery store last week. It installed pretty easily. It came with templates for mounting either on the push side or pull side. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because the screws they provided to attach the cover to the unit required a hex wrench. Yes, they provided the tool, but I don’t like it when you have to go and find the right size of a special tool just to get the cover off. And then it takes a different hex wrench to make adjustments. Yes, I know, you just save the two sizes of wrench that they provided. But where do you keep them where they won’t get moved or lost? To me, it’s much simpler to use very common screw heads that everyone has readily available. But that’s just me.

Excellent quality and highly adjustable
Excellent product. Very strong. Holds well even for an out swinging door on a windy day. Had a different brand before and it failed so badly that the door was destroyed. This one is definitely worth the money. The adjustability is very good. Even the instructions were better.

Too strong for household use.
Way too strong for household use. Even with the spring tension turned all the way loose, it is still too hard to swing open the fire-rated door to the garage.

not much instructions
For someone that knows what they are doing, this would be great but with no experience I felt like the instructions were sub par. I did some guess and check. It was a 10 minute job that took me an hour.

I wasn't exactly inspired by the 'Dynasty' name, but this is a nice looking unit with a cast iron body. It feels like quality. I expect it to last for a good while on the front door of our retail store. If it doesn't I will be sure to update this review! The product was well packaged and the included templates seemed good. Of course the written instructions included the usual Chinglish/OCR type gobbledegook, but there's enough that is intelligible for you to figure it out. Just be sure to mount it with the adjustment screws facing out, not towards the door! Talking of which, the screws are, going from the 'square' end to the 'round' end: Latch speed, main speed, backcheck force.
