I found this most helpful during the crawling and walking and climbing stages of babyhood. This saved my babies in so many instantaneous moments of sudden wobbles and off balance movements knocking them onto their tushies and backs and sides evidently banging the back or sides of their heads on the floor. This is kinda helpful for preventing frontal lobe head injuries however I try to prevent those before they happen because if a baby is about to fall forward , it’s not just the forehead I’m worried about, it’s the face or the nose or the lips or the cheeks or jaws. This product is so cute and helpful and underestimated! A must for all families with babies. The strings make me nervous around the neck so I usually just tuck them into the back of the helmet or I let them hang on the sides. Review: Must have product - I liked it. It's working out well so far only a few days in. My son doesn't seem to mind it too much. He gets a hot head naturally so we have to take breaks from wearing it on hotter days. It is possible to put it on too tight so his father can't adjust it anymore. It looks really nicely put together like something from a professional quilter, but I can not attest to how it holds up over time yet. I would buy this again and I would recommend it for all babies while they're starting to crawl and walk. Eventually they will fall and bump their heads and it will tear you to pieces. Even if they get mad from the fall at least they will be far less likely to truly hurt themselves while wearing this. My son is 8 months old and he's big, like in the 90 percentile. It fits him well with plenty of room to grow with him. He seems to have no issues wearing it except on occasion when his head gets too hot. I don't think the helmet makes his head hot, it just stops his head from cooling off.

Must have!
I bought this for my 1-year-old grandson because they live in Miami, FL, so their house has a ceramic tile floor downstairs & a hardwood floor upstairs. I've been very worried about him falling & hitting his head on that hard floor, since I believe all babies/toddlers fall off a sofa, chair, or bed at least once no matter how closely you watch them. They move so quickly! Yesterday I got a pic of him wearing it & he looks so cute! At 1st he fussed & didn't want to wear it, so I told his mom to give him a cookie every time she puts it on him & that worked! He was soon happily running around in his playpen much faster & more rowdy than ever before because he feels safer in his new helmet! A couple of days ago he slipped & fell on the hard floor, & hit his head. But he wasn't hurt because he had his helmet on. Today he wore it outside on the patio helping his mom water flowers with the garden hose. The helmet got soaking wet, but it dried out quickly.

Safety First
Got two for my twins at 7 months old when they discovered pulling to stand and cruise. They bumped their heads a few times before wearing the helmet but with this their safe. It covers the whole head and does not slide off. One thing I hoped for was for an adjustable clip under neath the neck instead of the string. I always tucked it inside the helmet after tieing it but they always managed to get a hold of it and chew it.

Love this product
Great product. my son was saved from head trauma all the time he had it on....one of my best purchases. My only thing is it would have been good to have more ventilation so he doesn't sweat as much however because of the padding that's need I guess it's hard to have the ventilation so I would still buy it even though it does cause his head to sweat at times

Decent Product but useless
As a concept this device is functional and does work on toddlers. Beware if your toddler does not like stuff on their heads. This is easily removed by the toddler and ends up being a discarded purchase. Generally, I’d avoid these gimmicks. Kids can only be paid to wear these things for photo shoots. No respecting mischievous toddler will keep it on for more than a few seconds.

Best $12 I ever spent
Best $12 I ever spent! Did I feel like a totally lame, over cautious, first time mom buying it?....yup! But that's okay, because it gives me piece of mind as our 10 month old crawls around on the porcelain tile floors. Even though he is crawling around and pulling himself up on things, he still wobbles when he sits up straight and just falls backwards, slamming the back of his head on the ground. So we would have to keep him confined to a padded area. He has already fallen over and bumped his head a few times with the helmet and it has worked perfectly. He wasn't the biggest fan of it at first, but now he could care less if it is on or off, only took a couple hours for him to get used to it and stop trying to rip it off. Would highly recommend for any worried parents like me!

Protection for the unexpected bumps
This is great for protection from those little hits they get from no where. We child proof our corners and he still wears this for added protection. My son has a big head not large but bigger than half the children his age. So having a little more stretch or give with the fit would have been great. Cause this fits him right now. I have it at the end of the velcro. So maybe in 6 months I won’t be able to put this on him anymore. This is a great buy though when your house isn’t carpeted and you worry about the little ones falling.
