Kimlan Sang Chau Light Soy Sauce, 20 Ounce (Pack of 2)

Makes Chinese food taste great and especially easy following the recipes at Woks of Life

I'm partial to Kimlan because it's simply the best tasting soy sauce out there. I wish I could get a larger batch and cut down on price. I don't have a walk in fridge to store large opened bottles. They should offer semi bulk discounts for loyal customers

I buy this locally. It’s the best. A little light and precious as a cooking soy. But definitely our go to for finishing. Drizzling over or dipping noodles, vegetables, meat. Authentic Chinese flavor profile.

I admit I didn't research this but instead assumed that "Light" in soy sauce meant less sodium. That's not the case here. It means lower calorie and a little lighter in color, which is a fair use of the word "light." A tbsp of the regular Kimlan is 15 calories w/ 744 mg of sodium and 1.7 g of sugars while the Kimlan Sang Chau Light is 6 calories with 930 mg of sodium and 1.1 g of sugars. That extra 20% is noticeable, esp. with reduced sugar. It still tastes good, just saltier and sharper than the regular version. I'll also note that that 2 bottles I received were fresh with an expiration date of 1/6/23.

Like this so much better than Kikoman. It's all about personal preference. This is a bit sweeter and a little less salty.
