This is a very nice kit for gapping spark plugs. It is intuitive, simple, and functional. The only improvement I can think of would be a little lip for widening the gap if you overshoot it, but that's easy enough as it is. If you're somewhat careful, you'll never overshoot it anyway. The feeler gauges are excellent quality as well. This kit should be in every home mechanic's toolbox.

Easiest spark plug gapper I’ve ever used. fits most common plugs and would pair nicely with a gap opening tool. Feeler gauges are surprisingly high-quality and stainless steel better than feelers that I already had in my toolbox fantastic very happy with the product. Feelers start at .035 and go all the way down to .0015

Good, basic kit. Allows you to gap down your plugs pretty easy. The machining isn't awesome, so it feels a little sloppy but it works. Comes with a set of feeler gauges.

Super handy for us "shade tree" and professional mechanics. No more tapping the ground electrode on the engine or otherwise to adjust the spark plug GAP. However, I found that gradual compression allows for the ground electrode to slightly rebound back to original position. So, you need to compress a little more, then use Feeler gauge to measure and fine tune to desired gap. A much more convenient way to set the spark GAP.

Easy to use

I like the spark plug gap tool. Works well and the quality is pretty good, especially for the price. I am not a fan of the feeler gauge though. A lot of the gauges are inaccurate. For example, a .030 inch gauge was actually a .023 inch when comparing with my caliper . I was comparing the feeler gauge on 4 new NGK 7746 spark plugs against the coin one that I have. My coin was reading .043 and .042 on all 4 spark plugs which is pretty close to the pre-gapped spec of .044 inch. I know the spark plugs wont always be at the advertised pre-gapped spec due to handling, but this was one of the rare occasions that is close and consistent. Not only that, but the coin was also spot on with my caliper. Using the feeler gauge, it was saying that the spark plug was over 0.047 inches. I won't be using the feeler gauge for spark plugs, but I did check the 0.014 inches (spot on) to 0.026 inches (slightly off but close enough) which is the range I need to check for the AC clutch air gap on my next project. I wonder if the GearWrench feeler gauge will be any more accurate (assuming its not from the same factory) as I was debating between that and getting this tool with the feeler gauge.

Maybe it's my lack of skill, but this takes all the guesswork out of adjusting a spark plug with the coin or wire type tools. Be aware you may need to use a gauge slightly smaller than your desired gap when compressing the plug
