Great Iron For a Great Price
Genuinely impressed with this unit. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now, and it handles very well. The unit is easy to use, heats up quick, and adjusting temperature is a breeze. The included accessories are great, although the only part I wish it had amongst all the accessories would be some small flush cutters. The included solder is pretty good, and small enough for PCB soldering at 0.8 mm. The only cons I have so far is the helping hands could be longer and the iron stand moved to a different spot, as it gets in the way of the helping hands and magnifying glass in some instances. Overall, for the price you're paying you're getting a great unit that'll keep your workflow steady.

Reliable, heats up fast, quality for price
My credentials: I am an award winning roboticist specializing in the field of combat robotics which requires frequent soldering and desoldering of sometimes working electronics. My previous soldering iron, the x-tronic pro broke after two years of service. This soldering iron is comparable in price so I decided to give it a shot. Here is a list of its positive and negative attributes compared relative to other soldering irons in this price range. Merits: Heats up very quickly Pre programmed heat settings are a big plus Good grip on the soldering iron handle Ergonomic design, doesn’t take up too much space The magnifying glass makes you look like you know what you’re doing (aesthetic quality lol) Faults The power cord is shockingly short in comparison to my old x-tronic (this could be a problem in the pits at tournaments) The solder tips inner diameter do not seem to be standard size and my x-tronic tips do not work with this model The flux included is cheap, do not use Overall I can recommend as a good soldering iron in this price range

After an easy but crucial DIY fix, I really like this soldering iron
With one (DIY fixable) issue, this is a good product set. Pros: + Soldering iron and its base overall are sturdy and well-built + Simple, effective temperature set/actual control/display + Helpful, easy-to-use 3 programmable temperature settings + Lightening fast warm-up - less than 30 seconds + Handy soldering tip rack that mounts on the side + Lots of accessories + Good value Cons (no show-stoppers): 1 - The bundled helping hands and magnifying glass are small and of limited utility 2 - The hot iron holding coil assembly occasionally snags the soldering iron (details below) Details on #2 above: an unexpected and quite annoying issue was that the soldering iron would occasionally (1/3 of the time) snag and get stuck in the hot iron holding coil. This is incredibly inconvenient when you're "in the heat of the moment", soldering several connections one-after-another and therefore placing your hot iron in-n-out of its rack in-between soldering tasks - it took a lot of jiggling and pulling to get the iron out of the stand. Oddly, I could find no direct reference or details about this issue in the product review comments, so I carefully investigated the problem myself and discovered (see pics) that in fact the collar that you screw onto the iron to hold the tips was indeed snagging on the hard plastic sleeve that is press-fit on the end of the metal coil that holds the iron (its tight but pretty easy to remove and replace). One pic reveals exactly how the snag occurs. Turns out I was able to mostly (not perfectly, but well enough) address the problem by using a utility knife to remove the square edge on the hard plastic sleeve (note that I trimmed the square edge to about 45 degrees), which prevents the iron's collar from firmly snagging - one pic shows how much of the collar I removed with my utility knife, showing the sleeve repaired half-way around so you can clearly see how much to remove. The whole effort took only 5 minutes. After that, no more firm snags. Bottom Line: I like the iron, it works well, and was a pretty good value overall.

Solders like a champ
Caveat- amateur solderer. Bought this 6 months ago as a complete novice and learned how to properly solder with it. Since then I have burned through three rolls of solder making samplers, delays, reverbs and distortion circuits for my synthesizers. Once dialed in, this iron has been completely consistent without any issues other than it switches to "sleep" at the most unfortunate times. "Sleep" mode is also a safety feature and has greatly extended the life of the tips, so this is not a huge complaint (and it's probably adjustable, but I haven't dug out the destructions yet). The display is clear and bright and the three setting buttons make excellent shortcuts for dialing in different temps. The primary function of this iron is solid, it has been very consistent with temperature settings and does heat up rather quickly. However, I have stripped off all of the auxiliary doo-dads, like the solder roll holder, the mini magnifier and the little flexible clamps- these are all cheap and useless. Make life more efficient and invest in a decent LED lamp with a large magnifier to properly inspect your PCBs/stripboards etc., and shell out a few bucks for a decent helping hands clamp system that isn't attached to the solderer. I also just found replacement tips here on Amazon, so assuming this solid little beast holds out for another 6 months it will have been more than worth it. I've graduated to more complex circuits and actual synthesizer modules, and see no reason why this iron wouldn't last for quite a few more projects. For the price it really is a great little iron, regardless of the cheap peripheral gadgets.

Very nice soldering station
This setup turned out to be a very nice and workable soldering station. I do alot of soldering on my RC vehicles and batteries and this was a perfect fit. A very nice starter setup. Being able to adjust the heat and save the your settings is a great feature. Some of the battery wires that I solder to change out connectors can be a large gage, the adjustable temperature is great for a perfect solder on large and small wires. It comes with a variety of tips for all types of soldering. Be aware of one thing, the solder that comes with it is not a rosin core solder, so you may want to pick up a roll of different solder. For the cost of this station it's a very good deal.

☆☆☆☆☆Outstanding Unit!!☆☆☆☆☆
This unit is much better than I anticipated. Very well packaged in a manner that waste no space and is compact. The multitude if components are each individually wrapped neatly and upon 1st test the unit performed extremely well. Assembly was so simple I never looked at any instructions. Has the features that are most needed built in and well placed. Hats off to the manufacturing company for a product that is efficient, heats up instantly, compact, performs very well and all at a price that is very affordable! If I could have given the item 6 stars I would have..Now the test of time begins as well as the customer service if needed test. I will update if there are problems as they may arise later. But as of today (1st day) I am very happy with the purchase. No updates = No issues.. Great product! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality high performance yet affordable soldering station.

Love the Soldering Station!
Never had such a nice station before. Helping hands, magnifier, spool, fantastic results for once.

Decent soldering kit.
Its pretty good so far. The temperature heats up very fast, some of the accessories are good, the grippers are ok. Now what makes me give it a 3 star is this: The power cable is short so youll probably need an adapter, and the soldering iron cable would have been less in the way if it was on the right side or back of the unit. The Led light is super weak and also useless, i use a headlamp instead. The desoldering pump is very bad, i had to depend on it because i was waiting for my copper wick to arrive. why even include it if its so bad/low quality?
