Worked fine for replacing a thermal fuse in a Vornado heater/fan. (My wire strippers had a crimping tool.).

Good product
I used these to replace a thermal fuse in my Air fryer. They look robust and hold up well, as long as you use the right crimping tool.

Didn’t work for me
When I went to use these butt lugs they were impossible to crimp. I was using 12 and 14 gauge wire to connect a quick disconnect on a stern light on my boat. I first used my wire crimping tool to hold the wires in place prior to soldering. I crimped the butt lugs so they collapsed but the wire came loose when I went to solder. I recrimped the lugs using the crimp tool and vice grip to flatten the lugs but wire pulled out again. I’m not sure why this happened. There are three sizes of butt lugs and I used the smallest lug that the wire could be insert. I finally gave up using the lugs and did a direct wire to wire soldering job

Purchased for a repair
Exactly what I needed to fix a Mr Coffee Maker with a blown thermal fuse. I couldn't de-solder the old one. Crimping was the best solution.

12v Automotive use, 10-18ga wire ideal.
These are working out good with 12v car wiring and repairs, especially if you use some heat shrink tubing over it. Soldering is optional. Use the crimper type shown in the picture and you will have a good strong connection.

I typically like soldered joints, but sometimes you just can’t get in a tight space without burning everything around your iron, so these are handy, since they are easy enough to crimp even with a small bent needle nose plier.
