Using in my Epson photo1400
I tried to use less expensive after market ink for the 1400 printer and ran into clogged print head problems. After buying another product designed to clean clogged printer jets and clearing the clogged jets I decided to only use Epson ink in this printer sense the printer is so expensive to replace. It just makes since to me to bite the bullet and use only Epson products in a pretty expensive Epson printer. Do you want to take a chance on something that may not be repairable and will cost a couple thousand to replace so you can save 40 or 50 dollars. Quite frankly this experience scared me I thought I was going to have to buy a new large format printer because I was try to save money, that's not going to happen again

Ink is good but expensive
I have an epson printer and the ink cartridges are expensive, but great quality for photos.

Good
Overall no issues but not very long-lasting. Quality is great for even photography.

The ink does a beautiful job but it is NOT cheap.....
Epson has you in a corner with the ink. I have the Epson Stylus Photo 1400. It's the last of three of this same printer I've had. When you replace all six ink cartridges you have bought the printer again, as far as cost goes. If you start out using one of the cheaper non Epson inks to ink all 6 colors, I guess you would do fine, but you can NOT add in cheaper, knock off ink cartridges as you use up your existing Epson Brand cartridges because you will end up with ink running off your photo paper......... I never run out of all 6 ink cartridges at the same time and can't bring myself to pull out expensive ink cartridges to start all over again and see how well the less expensive knock off cartridges work........ I'm stuck. If the ink was not so expensive I'd not have any issue. Works perfectly and everything I print looks great.

Works in my printer
This ink cartridge arrived quickly, well packaged in a box, just like in the store. The date of manufacture was current (not old stock). It was the normal (large) size, as expected. (not the smaller "starter" cartridge that some others sell). The price is right, and I did not have to drive to the store to get it. Ordering on line saves me a lot of time/gas, and gives me more choices, as well as the advantage of the product reviews, that help me make better purchases (avoid lemons). Thanks to all the Amazon reviewers who contribute to the public's hunger for good advice and the desire to reward good venders/products with our hard earned dollars.

If you have an epson-use epson ink!
I bought some cheap ink one time and at first I thought it was great-less than half the price and seemed to work fine. After awhile though, the printer wouldn't recognize the cartridges and I had to go back to the real thing. If you have an epson, you know ink can get pretty spendy but don't be tempted to buy knock-offs. Epson ink is also gives better results on your pictures.

Like all Epson printers and products they all work together. I tried aftermarket ink and had a lot of problems. I really thought I may have ruined my printer. Put the Epson ink back in, ran a few cleaning cycles and now like new again.

Epson OEM inks always give me the best results. Also, I've never had Epson ink clog my printer (which has happened with "generic" inks), no matter how long it sits idle between uses. My only complaint is the cost -- just wish they weren't so darned expensive.
