Will repurchase again and again
This is the second time I’ve repurchased this product and I would say it’s great!! The 2 pack makes it a great value and I will buy again. My only complaint is that it’s a little bit big and I wish they made more than one size as I have a very small mouth so it makes it a little bit uncomfortable. Super easy to mold. Also what I mainly like about this product is that it really helps keep your back teeth from clenching which has helped my tmj so much!

It works!
The directions are easy to follow and molded well to my teeth. I find it to be comfortable to use. I have a smaller mouth and it works just fine. I had a dentist make my first piece. It stopped my tmj. I started having tmj again recently and tried these and love the price. I’ve used it for a week and already noticed a big improvement on my jaw.

Save yourself a lot of pain if you have an overbite!
My dentist really wanted me to use this to keep my back teeth from grinding as they are becoming loose. First one I tried I apparently got it too far back (I do have an overbite so that was probably most natural for me). It rubbed against the bump like thing on the roof of my mouth - it’s not flat on one side. I nearly was in tears putting it in night after night because I was so tender there. So I go visit my dentist to find out what it is that’s going on. He stated I pushed it too far back when forming it to my teeth. It should be farther out. I use the second one, but it folds down during the warming stage in the hot water. I buy a second box. I get it positioned more forward. It seems to fit so I use it night after night. When I take it out in the morning it feels like my jaw “adjusts” and feels “off” for a bit. My jaw is increasingly tender and painful and starts clicking and then starts locking in place and it’s hard to talk and eat without pain and my jaw locking up on me. I return to my dentist who says it is fit appropriately and continue to use and see a chiropractor for my jaw pain. I go to the chiropractor who, even on first adjustment brings some relief. I continue to use the thing at night. I feel my jaw moving every morning. I speak to the chiropractor about my feelings that this is affecting my overbite and holding my jaw in a position that is not natural for it. I tell him I’m going to stop using it. The adjustment goes well though I’m still in quite a bit of pain. I don’t return to the dentist yet because I have a follow up in 2 weeks. I eat only soft foods as chewing is very painful. I talk as little as possible. Next adjustment chiropractor agreed with me that the piece must be affecting my jaw as my mouth position seems much, much better and it took very little adjustment to get it where it needs to be. Now he says wait several days for the next adjustment to give your jaw some time. The first two days after that I thought he was crazy as it was a little better, but still locking up and painful to eat and talk. Another day after that it feels much better. It’s not automatically locking up or clicking as I speak or chew. The pain level has decreased a lot. I’m much more comfortable even though I’m not back to normal. Still not wearing this thing at night now. That’s where I am so far. Chiropractor and dentist appointments are in two days. I plan to talk to my dentist about what this seemed to do with my jaw and my overbite and the extremity of my pain and difficulty in eating even soft foods. I’m still on soft foods right now as too much chewing/biting down is difficult and results in locking up and pain. I’m positive my theory is right. I will update this review after my next appointments and hopefully confirmation of my theory, but my belief is this was the cause of much pain, discomfort and malfunctioning of my jaw. I was a little bit in discomfort before use of this just because I grind my teeth so hard at night but had no feeling of incorrect positioning of my jaw, locking up, grinding sounds, clicking and inability to eat or speak. If you have an overbite very carefully consider your decision to purchase and use this product! I feel it is impossible to fit correctly as your jaw has to move forward to bite it in place on your front teeth to mold it to them to keep it in place as it needs to be. I now have many hours of appointments and dollars as well trying to fix this issue with my jaw. Not to mention two boxes of these things to get it “right.” These weren’t issues before I used this. Perhaps my overbite is more extreme than others? I did see references to overbite in questions and responses that oh yes this is designed for all (I’m summarizing here and I can’t recall the exact wording)…I specifically went searching for questions and reviews related to overbite once I started suspecting it was causing this. Perhaps my dentist is wrong about the placement. Who knows? I will never wear it again though.

Works great but not exactly as advertised - tips so you don't repeat my mistakes
Overall, this is a great product. I started clenching my jaw really hard when awake and asleep due to stress and anxiety, and noticed headaches and jaw pain as well as teeth shifting a bit. My dentist suggested this product specifically and I can definitely see why. At the same time, molding these is a delicate and incredibly annoying process, and I have had no success in getting them to fit as advertised. First, it took me 4 guards (2 packages) to get anything close to success. I paid for 4 and only got 1 to work, and here's why. The directions tell you to place the guards into just-boiled water that's sat for 15ish seconds. The guards is plastic, so if it touches the side or bottom it will melt and meld into whatever it touches. The directions tell you to use a fork tine to pierce these, but a fork tine doesn't work. You need some sort of magical long, thin, metal toothpick type thing. Because the fork tine doesn't pierce through enough, the guards pops off in the hot water about 20 seconds in and then bobs around. So 3 of these melted or bonded to the cup and were instantly unusable goo. Also, it takes way more than just one dip into hot-cold water to mold it (that's oversimplified, since you soak for 50 seconds, wear & form for 90, then soak in cold for 15). Took me 8 repetitions of the whole process (8 kettles of boiling water) to get it to finally fit my mouth fairly well. And that's the other part of it - I can't get the guard to fit snug enough so that it won't fall out overnight. I can shape it enough to where it sits fairly firm and stays in place, but not enough to where it would stay overnight. So I do not wear the guard at night since it doesn't snap into place. I tried several times and woke up to find the guard on the floor. I do wear it frequently during the day while working at my computer, reading, cleaning/cooking, or driving. And it's a huge help since I clench my jaw unintentionally pretty much around the clock. Tips that may be helpful: 1 - yes you want very hot water to soften the mold, but it will melt if the water is too hot. 15 seconds post-boil may not be enough to wait & it's better to repeat the process multiple times than ruin multiple molds 2 - don't use insulated cups/container for the hot water. I used a porcelain coffee mug that retained the heat too well, and the molds melted. Plastic worked better. 3 - whether you use a fork or some sort of long tine, you definitely want it to be metal because otherwise it will melt 4 - spend a few seconds shoving the fork tine into the guard as far in as you can before starting. This is the main way you can maneuver the mold & prevent it from melting 5 - If you have sensitive teeth, consider putting a small amount of sensitive-formula toothpaste on your teeth or gumline before putting the hot mold and cold water on your teeth. The heat and cold hurt, especially if you repeat the process multiple times. A small amount of toothpaste won't affect the molding process. 6 - the cleaning solution packets are great. Brushing this with toothbrush & toothpaste daily also works. But clean it somehow. 7- You can always repeat the initial molding process to tighten up the guard if needed down the road.

I have been using this guard for several nights now and it works well. First, I have had this style of guard from a dentist before so I knew what to expect comfort wise. A few years ago my guard broke. The dentist decided to not get this style made and only provife ones that cover all your teeth. I have tried that other style for several years now and my teeth are so sensitive, because they don't prevent the pressure of clenching. Fast forward and I've been looking for an alternative supplier to the dentist and found this smart guard. The guards went on sale for $55 and I thought wouldn't hurt to try since it is a package of 2. The product arrived fast. I read the instructions and got set up quickly to fit one guard. The fitting worked really well and is tight yet comfortable. I did do the fitting a second time to be sure I had it really good. It is very important you follow the instructions and use boiling hot water. Also, make sure to press with your fingers on the front of the guard to mold the front of the teeth well. It is also important to get really good suction on the guard to mold the roof of the mouth. The fit was perfect after and is more comfortable than my original version the dentist provided me. I have slept well with this but newbies to a guard like this- it takes time to adjust. I took a while with my original one, so give it time. I will definitely buy these again when needed. Added bonus is since there is two, I always have a backup. If you suffer from really sensitive teeth due to clenching, try this.

I don’t use much unless stressed but it works when I use it. I did notice this one cost me near double to the one I purchased just a few years ago. But of inflation due to market forces there I note.

I am happy with this product and It is doing what it’s made for. It took my a couple of attempts to mould it to my mouth though. It’s a little tricky

Love it. Used now for six days, works great. A bonus is my teeth were so unaligned I had chin way back from front lip in just 4 days my jaws are aligned with my teeth, and stay that way all day. Never knew would help me have an even chin line. I have trauma caused Fibroma on my tongue from grinding teeth and tongue. I haven’t bit tongue since mouth guard. I followed directions exactly and it is a tight fight stays on till I pull it off. And best of all plastic excellent quality. Very happy I tried this one. It is not uncomfortable I forget wearing it most times.

I literally threw this in the garbage. The orthodic doesn't properly mold to the teeth and won't stay on the teeth. I would not feel safe to try and sleep with this, you could easily choke on it. Very dangerous product.
