The chain is thin, but it has held up perfectly. However, the knot charm can be easily removed and placed onto another chain if necessary. The amethyst heart in particular has a dark purple color to it and stands out with any outfit. The necklace has been worn daily and exposed to sweat, sunlight, humidity, & lotion, yet has not tarnished in the slightest. The cleaning cloth it comes with helps maintain the shine. This love knot makes the perfect gift for any woman on any occasion.
