New hitachi 18V battery charger works well
My original Hitachi battery charger quit working after maybe 10 yrs (the fan quit and would no longer charge). I bought this updated model which looks the same as the older one and charges both Li-ion and Ni-Mh batteries and has the identical cooling fan to keep both the battery and charger cool. This new one worked perfectly form the start. Recommended.

Looked and seemed like the original but stopped working within 2 years.

Purchased as a replacement
I lost my sister’s charger and I bought to replace it. So far works well and she is happy with it.

Doesn’t work for me.
Didn’t know I would have to pay for return shipping, didn’t realize there’s a restocking fee. Thought it would charge my old batteries, it seems like something else is going on with my batteries.

Better Than the Original
I have two old Hitachi chargers that came with the drills. Both did not charge the batteries fully and even indicated the batteries were no good. When they did this on all 3 batteries I have, I decided to buy another charger instead of another battery. This charger charged all three batteries very quickly and fully. I must admit I jumped a little the first time I used it because it has a fan that the other two chargers do not.

Did not work. the charger did not worked.plugged in to outlet red light was on the battery inserted for more than 24 hours and it did not charge the battery
