Fabrics that are a mix of natural and synthetic will come out a much less intense colour, and completely synthetic fabrics are unlikely to change colour much, if at all. The colour on the cap and picture is the colour your fabric will come out at - provided it's a natural fabric and the original colour is similar/lighter then the dye.
