I got two for only around $12 which is a steal. They are made with durable feeling plastic and actual glass lenses which feel really professional. They come with both clear and shaded glass lenses, but If you remove the shaded lenses the clear ones rattle around even when tightened, so they can't be used easily as safety goggles. The shaded lenses are dark, and yet not too dark. Looking directly at my phone's LED light is still slightly unpleasant, but certainly not painful as it would be without the goggles on. They look cool on the face and are very adjustable.Overall I recommend these both as props and as effective welding goggles. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars These things are so cool... *by M***0 on Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2011* I bought these for... No reason at all, other than I've always wanted a pair like these and I think they're really cool. They got to me right when they said they would, good shipping, right product, didn't have the problem some users had where they would receive an alternate model or something. I often wear them on top of my head. Like a boss. Anyhow, well built, and WILL protect against UV rays IF the glass lenses are in, the other ones are ONLY tinted plastic, so put/leave the glass in if you want UV protection. That said, you can remove the shaded lenses if you want to wear them regularly as an accessory, or even possibly, you could use the lenses as a template to make your own sunglasses out of them, so highly interchangeable. Fairly dark, you COULD use them as sunglasses if it was daylight out and see just fine. They ARE darker than regular sunglasses, however and have a slightly green tint to them. It's due to this and the slightly blocked peripheral vision that I'd not recommend using them while driving: Driving would be possible, but it would block a bit of peripheral vision and the green tint may throw off some colors. Not sure, haven't tried. You can look into the sun directly and it is about as bright as a pretty bright LED flashlight with no glasses on. However, there is one small qualm. You can adjust the width of the goggles, as there is a ball chain that can go different notches inside of the eye pieces, but the chain goes through a plastic tube as a "cushion" I suppose. However, I was...blessed...with a rather large nose, and it's very uncomfortable unless the goggles are set very loosely, it's not a huge deal, as they stay snug to my head but I'd prefer them a bit tighter, either way, the little tube is a bit uncomfortable, it would have been better if they had put even a rubber or foam or silicone tube instead of hard plastic, but optimally a molded nosepiece would be best, but the tube is fairly uncomfortable, but not a huge deal. The actual eye covers themselves are fine, just the part across the bridge of my nose. Another thing is that the side vents don't do a lot if it's even slightly humid or cold out, they work fine in hot and dry weather but the goggles tend to fog up even with the vents open as they can be without being removed. These two items collectively are enough to remove a star, but nothing else worth complaining about. Well, nothing else period.PROS: Cheap, Well built, dark as they claim to be, can wear them on top of my head for long periods, look good, you can customize them however you like. Including using the lens as a template for making paper cutouts for turning them into rave goggles or something of the like. Not too much to complain about here.CONS: A bit uncomfortable for longer periods, side vents don't tend to do much in the way of fogging up.
