Nice little unit. I thought you needed a big one to have this kind of power. But this one is getting the job done. Compressor jumping larger engine of course, USB and light love it to death. Thanks, shoemaker.

My lawn mower seems to have never ending slow leaks in the rear tires so I have to Re inflate them every weekend. Additionally for some reason the battery will not hold a charge. If I go more than a week, I have had to hook up a charger the cranks the engine. This combination jump starter and tire inflation tool was exactly what I needed. It takes only seconds to put 12-15 psi in my tires (as that is all they hold) and the jump starter works great. I keep the tool charged and at the ready. I have not used it to charge any of my electronics, but recently had a situation where my car broke down and wouldn’t restart due to an electrical problem. I discovered as I was calling AAA that my cell phone battery was almost dead - totally wished I had remembered to out this charger back in the trunk that day.

There are plenty of power bank jump starters on Amazon - though most of them don't have an air compressor. I couldn't really tell you how safe any of them are, because some lithium battery chemistries are more dangerous than others, and starting a car requires a ton of current. Then there are the issues of swollen battery cells, questionable BCMs, and more. So, what's a risk averse consumer to do? I got a Schumacher Electric SL1562 4-in-1 Lithium Portable Power Station and Jump Starter. I've purchased other Schumacher products in the past, and I've come to trust the brand. While it's possible that the SL1562 is just a white-label product with no special pedigree, I choose to believe that Schumacher would not risk their brand reputation on poorly engineered or poorly built products. What does $128 (with $12 off coupon, at the time of this review) get you? You get a unit with reasonably solid build quality. I think it's a plus that the jump cables are permanently attached, as the detachable ones on some units are inherently more prone to extreme heat or fire (even when fused). The battery bank function is a throw in, and is mediocre at best (no USB PD or QC charging). The compressor is loud and slow, but it works just fine. I've jumped two vehicles with the unit so far (1.6T I4, and 3.8T V6) with no issues. The only thing I don't like is the cable stowage. Well, and I think it would be nice if the unit used LiFePo chemistry, rather than LiPo. I'm sure the price may be a show-stopper for anyone that's looking at cheaper options. For my part, I don't really even care that much about the compressor - I just wanted a little more peace of mind from a larger unit that MAY have a better BMS and cell storage concept. I'll update this review if I run into any performance, safety, or longevity issues. For now, I recommend this unit.

I have owned it for less than a year and it stopped charging. The light doesn’t even come on to take any kind of charge at all. I can’t find a customer service number of any kind to call to try and get help. As of right now, I would not buy another one.

Good product

We finally had opportunity to try this out. Admittedly, my husband and I were a bit skeptical as to if it would be enough for my 2500 Ram diesel pickup. I mean, really, it has 2 batteries! We hooked it up and the first try it didn’t do anything. But then I remembered it said to wait a few minutes. We are impatient, so only waited about 1 minute. Holy cow! My truck started! I made sure to recharge it when we got home so if we ever need it again, it’s ready to go. We decided upon Schumacher because we have a couple Schumacher battery chargers and they are fantastic, so stands to reason this jumper would be too. Haven’t tried the air compressor yet, but have no doubt it will work just fine.

Has worked great for me. Takes a few hours to fully charge and has successfully jumped our troubled card several times.
