I prefer that setting which is unique to the OC-5. **Q: Does it work well with a bass?** A: Not sure why someone would want to put bass on top of bass, but for guitar, this pedal is a major break-through. Now I can play guitar and sing - with the BOS - OC5 playing bass for me. **Q: Power cable?** A: This pedal can be operated by either a 9 volt battery or using a Boss brand PSA ac dc adapter.
