L7S154 L7S 15" Subwoofer Dual Voice Coil 4-Ohm 1000W

I have a ported 3cu ft box in a mini cooper powered by a skar audio 1000d mono block. It's getting 700 watts rms with an audio control in dash, an epic center and Audio control EQ running entire system with 8 bands just for the sub and knocks hard. This is my ist ported box and like this better then sealed. I'm replacing the SKAR amp with the KX 1200 kicker which will be 1200 rms. I'll keep u posted when I get new amp in.

When this subwoofer arrived it was inside the damaged factory box and very loosely packed in a much larger box without any packing material. When removed from the large box, the factory box had multiple holes, tears and damage. Opening the factory box some little things like the Kicker decal, basket trim stickers and factory paperwork was missing though the manual remained. The sub was in the factory plastic bag but the factory tape was torn. When removed, the sub looked clean but not new with scrape marks where the paint was removed on the back of the motor, rub marks on the surround and cone and discolored paint in the screw holes with scuff marks on the side of the baskets upper lip... When tested on low power (50-100w) the sub preformed good without issues. When put on 500-600w and in a box the sub rattled so the sub was removed from the box and tested on 500-600w without the box and it rattled louder! Amazon customer service was notified and the sub was torn down for repair. Upon teardown the voicecoil was found to have damage from prior use "abuse in this case" as the sub didn't have 20min of use by me on it since purchased before I performed a teardown. Conclusion.. The seller shipped a cleaned up/ used sub in place of a brand new one... Sub had to have a full rebuild (new spiders, new voicecoil, new tinsel leads) with the motor, basket, surround and cone being original and is now working perfectly!

Ive been a kicker sub fan for many years...this square sub sounds the cleanest and best in a large cubit sq ported box(my box is tunned to 34hz)...the more air the better this sub hit lows you have to hear,feel to believe...i sware by the higher end L7's

box opening side looked damaged and item was used so I’m going to return it I want my refund.

I really like this speaker but I need a bigger amp other than that it's fantastic.

Sorry, but the quality and performance of the subwoofer have reduced me to a one-word review. WOW! Enough said. You have to hear it to believe it.

not as good as the old solobarics. but it's still a 15 inch L7.
