Perfect for my ulcer prone horse and aging horse
One of my horses developed ulcers, so I dove into researching dietary changes. I came across a medical study showing that porcine collagen peptides helped improve ulcers in horses. I found this product and added it to his diet. My older horse gets it too, it’s been great for his aging joints. I love that it’s affordable and easy to feed. They both eat it without any issues. I mix it with their grain as a mash to make sure they eat it all.

Effective collagen product at the right price.
This collagen product does not taste great but collagen products don't in general. It is not too bad. My fingernails grow like crazy. It has not helped my elbow joints noticeably but I have rheumatoid arthritis. Normally collagen makes a significant difference. I will up my dose. It dissolves reasonably well. I couldn't get my regular brand so I am trying this one. The cost is better.

You probably already know…
About the amino acid profile, digestibility and the great things hydrolyzed collagen does for your skin, joints and connective tissue. If not please do your own research. Here is what I didn’t know. I’ve been taking this porcine collagen for a while by mixing it with whey powder isolate and water in a shake. Today I tried a half a tablespoon straight up and dry. Then I ate a little more that way. YUM! It’s not gummy like whey powder at all. It has an unctuous slightly sweet taste that is hard to describe. Almost like slightly sweet pork rinds, with a pleasant texture and without all the greasy saltiness. As for BulkSupplements like most of their customers I cannot say enough good things about this company. Pure clean products, at the best prices, shipped fast with amazing customer service. The only bad thing is that I did not discover BulkSupplements sooner.

Fine Texture, Different Taste
Let me start by saying that this review will not focus on whether collagen from this brand works better than collagen from another brand. It's difficult to determine that in a short period of time. Instead, I'll be focusing on the taste, solubility, and texture of the collagen. I've never tried anything from Bulk Supplements before, but I've always read good reviews about their affordable bulk protein powders. As I started using collagen (because I'm getting older), my primary goal was to improve my skin, although any benefits for joints and tendons would be a bonus. I've tried a few different brands, including the popular VP brand sold everywhere, a German brand available on Amazon, and a store brand. All of these were bovine collagen. I also tried marine collagen from VP. What I've noticed with all these brands is that eventually, I needed to take 2 level tablespoons of powder per day to reach the recommended 10-12g. My routine involves scooping 2 tablespoons into a coffee cup, adding a bit of cane sugar and a drizzle of flavored simple syrup (like salted caramel, etc.), brewing a 6 oz k-cup of coffee, mixing it in, and drinking it in the morning. In terms of dissolving, all the collagen brands I've tried so far dissolve nicely with just a few hard stirs from a teaspoon. They have no taste and don't change the consistency of the coffee. However, the Bulk Supplements Porcine Collagen is different. I'm not sure if it's because it's porcine collagen (which I've heard is the best for the skin) or because it's Bulk Supplements. First of all, the powder is much finer in the Bulk Supplements Porcine Collagen. Every time I open the pouch or scoop some powder, a puff of powder floats up in the air. Other collagen types are grittier and heavier, but I don't mind that, although it's slightly more inconvenient to deal with the dust. You would think that the finer the powder, the easier it would dissolve, but that's not the case here. The BS Porcine Collagen tends to clump up and requires more agitation and mixing to dissolve. I find that using an inexpensive handheld milk frother helps dissolve it eventually, but it does require more effort. The smell of the powder is not neutral like the others. It has a very faint smell of pork rinds, but it doesn't bother me. Now, here's the interesting part: I can't use 2 tablespoons of this collagen in 1 cup of my usual coffee. The taste changes. It's not necessarily good or bad, just different. It adds a hint of savoriness to my coffee, which is weird. When I use only 1 tablespoon, that taste disappears. To compensate for the missing tablespoon, I have to drink it with something else later, like juice or a powdered electrolyte drink. In conclusion, it's difficult to determine whether the differences I've experienced are due to Bulk Supplements or Porcine Collagen. I haven't been able to find Porcine Collagen from any other brand to make a comparison. After I finish this pack, I'll try the bovine collagen from Bulk Supplements and see if the differences persist. Keep an eye out for my review there.

pig's DNA is closer to human DNA, so pork (porcine) products are better for us
This is great product, dissolves relatively easy (not as well as porcine bone broth powder), is tasteless. I have not noticed any improvement in my skin elasticity (sagging cheeks). I also have not noticed any difference in healing of my sprained tendon. Same goes for any other collagen peptides I tried (beef, marine, or gelatin). Not sure I should continue to use any of these. I have been trying each of various products for weeks/months.

Great product which I keep buying
I've tried several collagen products and this is the best for taste and value. I mix 3 heaping tablespoons in an 89 fl. oz. container of homemade lemonade to help with better skin texture and reduce hair loss from aging. Not sure it's helping with the hair loss, but I think it helps with improved skin quality.

Company doesn't stand behind their product
I have been using collagen daily for years. I have recently developed a sensitivity to beef and have changed to pork and chicken collagen. At first I was really impressed by the quality and lack of taste in my coffee. On the second bag of collagen it has a rather disgusting smell like a sour damp towel. I tried it in my coffee only once. Everyone that came into the kitchen said "what's that smell?" The coffee tasted like it smelled. Disgusting. That is the one and only time I used the new bag. I tried to return through Amazon and they won't take it because it's opened. Bulk supplements says that it's normal to have differing flavors in batches and they refuse to replace it. It seems to me that somewhere along the line they used a rotten carcass to make this batch. I have lost my confidence in this company and their products.

Porcine collagen at a great price
I like the product packaging. It's simple and not wasteful. The product itself does not clump and is nearly tasteless/odorless. I am unable to use products like whey protein, so collagen powder is a great protein supplement for me. I also cannot have beef products, which most collagen powders are made from. Bulk Supplements is one of the only places I could find porcine collagen and at a great price.
