Fixed a completely blocked spluttering coffee pot!! Amazing stuff.
I'm absolutely a convert now and will order a 9-pack of these to keep my coffee pot in good shape. I just bought a new coffee pot because my last one spluttered and stopped dripping completely even though I had used vinegar regularly. They seemed to last only about a year. I decided to try this cleaner on the old pot to see if I could get it to work again and now it works like new. It was so clogged that when I first tried the cleaner nothing came through, so I turned it on for a few minutes, then off again and let it sit, and repeated the procedure. After three or four times around, water started coming through and eventually it filled the carafe. The water had picked up a lot of junk on the way through. Then I followed instructions and ran some clear water through a couple of times, and finally did the whole thing again with a second packet of cleaner. Now the pot works like new so I have a spare. It should be easy to keep clear if I use the cleaner as recommended once a month. As I said, I previously used vinegar, and I did try to unclog the pot with that but it didn't work at all. The cleaner is well worth the money. Cheaper than buying a new pot every year and the coffee tastes much better too. CAUTION: read the directions and be careful not to stain the counter top. Also, the powder is an irritant - make a decent size hole at the corner of the packet and dump it into the water steadily and as close as you can to the surface to avoid powered getting into the air.

Seems to clean the internal parts well
I live where the water is very hard and until now I've used CLR to clean my drip coffee machine. It works but is an expensive, smelly, and possibly, a more dangerous solution than using just vinegar (which doesn't work at all. Smelly too). After trying this cleaner, it does seem to clean internally - the coffee brews and flows faster, and is not as noisy - but the cleaner does not clean any of the hard water residue so I'll likely still need to use the CLR spray cleaner for the carafe and inside the reservoir. For $2 a cleaning, it's probably worth it. They recommend once a month, which is more than what I do. Once every two months works for me.

Works great
My coffeemaker was WAY past due for a cleaning. We have hard water and the buildup was so bad that there was always water left in the reservoir and I has to "punch the button" a second time - sometimes evern a third time to get a full pot of coffee. This cleaner did the job, though. I did have to clean it twice to get it all, but it's clean now and working great.

Only great cleaner for plastic coffeemakers
I give these great packets a 5 star for being excellent, BUT they are far too pricey. With shipping and 5 boxes (2 packets in each box--spent over $45). Had to turn to Amazon instead, cos these plastic coffeemakers, unlike our old, faithful stainless ones, cannot be cleaned with a homespun vinegar mix. And the coffeemaker--Mr.Coffee, is older than me I swear and the first one I knew of. Back to "him" cos the other ones stink! Use exactly as instructed, and do all the rinses, and the black basket will be totally residue free. And better coffee. And it's always good and lasts longer than any other brand in our house. I wish there was a better product, but Mr.Coffee's blue powdery packets do the best job.

Saved My Coffee Maker!!
My coffee pot was not brewing the full amount of water that I would put into it. For every 8 cups I would initally put into the maker, only 4 cups would come out! It was wasting my coffee and money!I was pleased to receive this item in the mail within 1 week. I immediately followed the instructions to this cleaning product. It worked wonders! It was night and day compared to just cleaning with vinegar alone. I would recommend this product to anyone having issues brewing their Mr.Coffee coffee maker. My only downfall is that I have to order this online. Wal-Mart Supercenters and other retail markets do not carry this in stock. At least now I know where to purchase it and it is super cheap. I will buy this product again in the near future!

Not sure how it got such a high rating
It is one star review simply because it doesn't work. I did two complete cycles (1 tablet for each cycle) on my Hamilton Beach coffee maker and didn't improve at all. Did two complete cycles on my older Mr. Coffee and again, it didn't make any difference. Mr. Coffee cleaner has always worked so that is what I will get this time.

They work a little bit...
They were ok. Coffee did taste a little better after using them to clean but our Mr Coffee is still putting out bitter cups. Also the directions are not clear whether you are supposed to measure in actual cups (oz) or in the cups marked on the pot. We tried both and the solution didn't dissolve well at all. So I don't think they were as effective as they should have been...
