Jamie's Food Tube the Cake Book: Seasonal Baking With Cupcake Jemma

I am a HUGE fan of Jemma and Jamie so when I found out she had a book, I knew I just had to get it! So far I have made her chocolate cupcakes and her vanilla buttercream. I have made her buttercream more than once and it has now become my go-to recipe. I made the mistake of not using it once and that other recipe was horrible compared to hers! It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I had gotten used to by using Jemma's technique and recipe. Jamie's Food Tube the Cake Book is a small, cute book full of fun recipes. There are some that I probably wouldn't make (like the Rosemary Honey and Yogurt Load) but that's only because I don't care for those flavors. If you are a fan of Jemma, I would recommend this book! The price is right so even if you just get it to read, it's totally worth it.

I've already made six of the recipes and they're amazing! Everyone is always really impressed with the cupcakes I've made per this book. They always have a lovely texture. If only I could decorate them as lovely as Jemma does.... The book contains a variety of cupcakes. The flavors range from familiar (variations on chocolate) to unconventional (lavender cupcakes?!). The recipes also teach some simple methods that can be transposed into making your own (how to infuse milk to add flavor). Things to know: measurements are metric. GET A KITCHEN SCALE. Know your oven: I've overbaked a few batches. Stock up on "weird" ingredients you probably wouldn't have in your pantry (rose petals, matcha).

I bought this book after subscribing to Cupcake Jemma's youtube channel. I love her style, whimsy and top tips for baking the best cupcakes and bakes. I only wish she'd open a shop in California! The book is full of great recipes, most of them seen on her youtube channel. One thing I wish though is that the book was spiral bound as it is difficult to keep open without propping it up. Minor detail. Otherwise, the book would be a great addition to your recipe collection!

I was somewhat disappointed as I thought this was tied into her you tube videos. Assumed her basic recipes were here for carrot cake etc since this was her first cake book. Oh well. Back to the web I guess. Print is far too small.

Absolutely Amazing!! The only thing is that because I live in the US, we use a different system of measurement so I had to go get a scale. But other than that, this book is incredible, easy, and I’ve made delicious treats with it!

I liked the basic recipes and being able to branch out from there to create super recipes. Really raises the games.

my daughter loves Cupcake Jemma videos, so we bought this book in time to make cupcakes for her birthday. They were perfection. The book, while small, is lovely with beautiful color photos. The recipes are divine. We can't wait to make more.

Jemma has the best cake and cupcake recipes!! Shipping could have been faster. I would recommend for anyone seriously looking for festive cakes and cupcakes!!

I think this book is simply georgeous. The best of it's recipes and Jemma of course is a brillaint baker. Yes it's an inspiration to bake better and further. Buy the book. Totally worth it. But yes, this book doesn't have many eggless baking.

Un libro bellissimo e super consigliato sia per quanto riguarda il contenuto che l'impaginazione e le fotografie. La grafica è davvero bellissima, le ricette accattivanti, verrebbe voglia di provarle tutte e Jemma è bravissima a ideare ricette originali e a riproporle in modo chiaro (la si può trovare anche su YouTube). Ovviamente è un libro in inglese quindi serve una buona padronanza della lingua per poter comprendere le ricette.

Las fotografías son muy bonitas, con lo que es muy agradable de ojear. Las recetas son siempre para 24 unidades, aunque yo lo hubiese preferido para 12. Lo ideal es apoyarse con su canal de Youtube para ver las elaboraciones, y utilizar el libro como consulta y así no tener que ver el video constantemente mientras practicas la receta en casa.
