Great Replacement Light Bulbs
These bulbs are a savior. We moved into a house that has 2 long rows of these in the entrance to accent the wall painting. 1/2 were burned out and I tried to get the old style replacements and they do not fit correctly. Their prongs are longer and a bit wider. The ones I bought burned out in about a week, once I was able to jam them in the socks. These fit perfectly. They fit well with one being a bit loose but still works. I think this problem is that fixture and not the bulb. I never tried to put the covers on but I don't think they will fit well. You don't really need the cover since these are LED and they are not hot. The light disperses well and is a nice bright white. Would highly recommend them. Saved us from having to have an electrician tear the lighting out and replace it.

Unacceptable failure rate
They provide great light, were easy to install and dim nicely all the way from high to low. However, in the first 12-14 months, 2 out of the 9 are already dead. For an LED bulb that's rated for 15,000 hours, this is very disappointing.

Great LED lights
I used these for my round under the cabinet lights. These are so much cooler than the xenon. They all worked and the color of the light is a soft yellow.

Buy now to replace your halogen - you'll save a ton on heat loss into your cabinets
Regretting not using these as soon as I installed my puck lights. The old halogens would heat up the cabinets and the kitchen. These have zero heat (or near zero) and a very bright light. I have a dimmer switch on the light strands which works surprisingly well with these lights - not all LED behave well with dimmers.
