SRS-XE300 X-Series Wireless Portable-Bluetooth-Speaker, IP67 Waterproof, Dustproof and Shockproof with 24 Hour Battery, Light Gray

I use this for work (postal worker) and it works wonders! It is easy to set up and connect, as well as take calls via the bluetooth. It is a bit on the larger size (think a Nerf football) but that allows it to be able to blast music with a ton of power and sound. The battery lasts me about 16 hours of consecutive use. It is also built like a tank; it fell out of my work truck while turning and ate some pavement. Took some minor scratches and the top part popped off, but it still works well! Great buy for a higher end bluetooth speaker.

I use this in my mail truck. If you work for the USPS, that is all you need to know. For those not in the know, the trucks are a bit.. horrific? They are loud as a gunshot, they do not have ac and so are always pushing 90-100 inside, they require the window to be open so rain is always getting in, they have terrible shock absorbers so everything is jack-hammered constantly, and they have a giant window so sun bleaching hits like a truck. All that being said, this 38oz waterbottle sized speaker overcomes it all. Its battery lasts for a century, it can be as loud as you like (and carries sound quite a distance), and it is so great that I have been gifting them to family and coworkers for a while. When mine breaks after the next building sized meteor hits it (cause that's what it will take), I will certainly buy another.

Strong speaker, portable and delivers a robust sound to fill a room. I used it to add a theater sound to movies while attached to a laptop and large TV. The charge lasted all night and even after falling asleep overnight. One feature that would be nice would be an auto-off to conserve battery after 4 or 6 hours.

It's nice yeah lovely but bit quiet for my liking compared to the jbl charger 5 it's louder the sony srs-xe300

*Please note this is a review for the larger SRS-XE300.* I purchased this looking for a midsize travel speaker to use when carrying around my larger SRS-XG300 ("mini" boombox) isn't practical - ex. getting on a plane. Being so happy with that speaker, I decided to give the SRS-XE300 a try. But...I found myself a bit under-whelmed. PROS: - I was impressed with all the tinkering afforded by the application - my favorite feature in particular are the battery health features that limit charging to 90%: the first and last 10% of discharging/charging a lithium battery are where most of the wear occurs. Since Bluetooth speakers are hard to repair, ensuring battery longevity is important to me. But it does a great job offering lots of other controls over other sound features: stereo vs. mono mode, EQ, etc. - The bass was quite impressive for the size. - I didn't experience much distortion even when cranking it to higher volume levels. CONS - - It seems like this iteration of Sony speaker put a diffuser to help "direct" sound out of one side of the speaker - and I found that this significantly degraded treble performance off-axis. I have hearing difficulties, and even after fiddling with the EQ and volume, I was never happy with the clarity of vocals especially if I wasn't standing directly in-line with that opening. Increasing the volume would make it uncomfortably loud. Perhaps it wouldn't have been as big of an issue had I purchased *two* XE300's to make a very directional stereo pair, but at that point the space savings over the XG300 would be moot--not to mention the increase in cost.. I ended up returning this for the JBL Flip 6 and that design seems to work better for me, though the bass response is nowhere near as impressive as this nor is the app's feature set. Overall: I think this is worth a try, but personally, if a small size is not a factor, I would HIGHLY recommend making the jump up to the SRS-XG300 - now THAT is a kickass speaker.

I love my new speakers. I love that if I can't find something in the store I can always come back here.

La bocina llegó en muy buenas condiciones de empaque, sin golpes y entregada de mano con el repartidor usando contraseña. Sony es garantía de calidad, muy buen sonido con direccionabilidad, sin problemas de portabilidad, la construcción es muy sólida, conexión sin problemas al Music Center, carga rápida y batería durable. Sin problema de uso en ambientes húmedos. No ha sido expuesto a salpicaduras ni nada de eso.
