Bought these to augment the new entertainment system I installed in my rv. Decent sound, except weak bass response. Np, I installed a subwoofer as well.

Tractor upgrade, surround sound

I purchased the Herdio HS-61B Speaker pair to use with a brand new Pioneer radio that I purchased for my Kawasaki Mule. I wired the speakers per the Herdio instructions (which were only accessible by the internet....none in the box) and the Pioneer radio instructions. I used new 16 ga. wiring and soldered all connections, using shrinkable insulation for the soldered wire connections. After installing radio/speakers I turned on the system and was disappointed with the response of the speakers. Even though the speakers tout bass, it has poor bass response and the sound becomes very distorted if too much bass is applied to the speakers. I cannot turn the Pioneer radio to full volume without the speakers becoming so distorted the sound can't be understood. As long as the volume is kept about 50% or less, the speakers are tolerable. The speakers are mounted under the roof of the Mule, so it isn't exposed to rain/direct sun. I just don't feel the speakers are what they are touted to be by the seller on Amazon! If you are planning to use these for a large area, it might not be the best speaker for this use!

Nice speakers for the money if you need ready to mount 4” speakers. You’re not going to get deep bass out of these given their size and enclosure but, that’s to be expected.

Perfect size for the footwell area on my CFmoto Uforce 1000. Sound is decent for their size. Appear to be decent build quality.

Put in my SXS.

Not much clearance for fasteners inside mounting brackets. Okay if you use truss or small pan head screws, but the location I had to use had a hex nut and the speakers would not fit. Don't tell anyone, but I bent the brackets and they fit perfectly now.

Speakers are efficient and provide good levels of volume, but lack bass which makes them sou d quite average. When paired with other speakers that can provide bass, they are reasonable as front speakers.

These speakers suited my under dash installation.
