Even using the sequencer with this small screen did not prove to be difficult. I downloaded the extra sounds from the core website which help in the piano area. Other than that, the huge variety of good quality sounds could get me through any number of gigs! I am a fan of good weighted keys and good semi-weighted keys. This is neither. However, these light synth keys are easy to get used to and I can play almost any repertoire on them! I am surprised and pleased since it makes the keyboard so light. I love the very small size. The Korg custom gig bag for it is well worth the money! It is a perfect snug fit and built very very well! I habe not been able to go through the entire database, but Iam yet to see any of those styles you mentioned. I would probably recommend you look at “Arrangers” options. Korg has one and Kurzweil too for under $500 **Q: Can this be played through the midi out and in to another keyboard for sound instead of using a speaker?** A: Assuming the other keyboard has speakers you can use MIDI to play through the other keyboard but you would be triggering the internal sound engine of the keyboard with speakers and not the sounds within the Kross 2-61.
