QUALITY! Especially for a large strop and a very good price. Use DIAMOND PASTE for best results
EXCELLENT STROP! Nice and long and a good width. I loaded up the coarse side with 3 micron diamond paste from TechDiamondTools (direct is much cheaper) - and 1 micron for the smooth fine leather side.Quickly removes the burr after sharpening then hones the edge to a razor sharp apex

Money saver
Great for sharpening my barber shears. I was tired of paying $40 per pair to the sharpening guy ( I have 11 pairs of shears) so I bought this and it saves me so much money.

Heat the Leather for Scary Sharp!
Product arrived in a timely fashion and appeared to be of good quality. On first use, the coumpound wouldn't hold to the leather and kept flaking off. After some quick research, I used a torch to heat the leather prior to application and it worked like magic! (There were suggestions to use olive or similar oils to prepare the leather, but I'm hesitant to add a lubricant to a honing strop as the viscosity could prevent the grit from contact with the blade).Also the difference in results was AMAZING! I've never been able to get my knives or chisels to sharp enough to shave (aka scary sharp) until now! I had tried honing guides when sharpening, water stones, and even wet-dry sandpaper but could never get that clean edge until using this strop.

Great product!
I've been using this strop for more than a year. It has held up very well and with a little practice brought my sharpening to a new level. If you are new to sharpening, a strop won't sharpen a dull knife. It will revive an edge that has started losing its keen edge. It will also smooth the micro edge that a stone leaves rough to really dial in the edge you can create. Buy this and enjoy the results

Handy to use
This strop is the needed item for that finishing touch and necessary touch ups. I am a novice knife sharpener but this item was easy to use. Loading with a proper grit paste is easy. Cleans easily once air dried no water or fluid

Missing components
Item is as described but only showed up with 1 of the 3 polishing compounds in the box.

A quality strop.
Well made and the stripping compounds are a plus.Takes a razor sharp just honed knife to a completely next level of sharpness. Would I purchase again? Absolutely.
