Review for 1-1/4" valve: Zurn 112-600XL Lead-Free FNPT Union Pressure Reducing Valve. Reduces pressure as designed - and as expected. After installation it was easy to adjust output pressure. This product has been installed now for 6 months, and still doing it's job (as expected, and hopefully for much longer). The previous pressure reducer failed, likely due to contaminants stuck in the mechanism that wouldn't flush out. A valve rebuild kit costs almost as much as a new item, and then there's no guarantee that it will work. Since this new pressure reducer was replacing an identical one, the installation was fairly straight forward. Even though I applied Teflon tape to the threads, it was a challenge to get the thread joints tight enough to not leak. This (I presume) was due to the pipe diameter (1-1/4"), so my pipe wrenches required some extra leverage (in the form of some spare pipes over the handles for more length) - that's not the fault of the product, just physics, and my muscles.

This is a quality Wilkins pressure reducing valve which appears as well made as my original (30 year old) Wilkins pressure reducing valve. I expect to get another 30 years, hopefully more, use from this new valve. Although this pressure reducing valve is working properly, I can only rate it okay because I paid more than 30% more here on Amazon than I could have elsewhere. I didn't/wouldn't have minded the extra cost if I had received it quickly as I requested and paid for expedited shipping; item arrived 1-2 days late. This caused me undue time and plumber rescheduling efforts. FYI: After watching the plumber install this valve, I see it is not difficult and may well be installed by a "qualified" DIYer. I recommend Zurn-Wilkins valves but also recommend shopping around since the price may vary considerably.

My pressure valve after 24 years stopped regulating water pressure. After searching few options, decided to place the order for replacement on Amazon and quite happy with the purchase so far.
