The plastic sheets come folded in half. This leaves a permanent crease in the material. The pins are not rounded corkscrews, they are more straight with sharp bended areas. A round corkscrew design would be easy to screw into the couch. They did come folded in half but I unfolded them, laid them on a table, and placed some heavy books on top of them for a few days and most of the crease came out.
