Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. I did have to do some modifications for it to work on my 2017 DRZ400S. These modifications included a new fuel line (carb specific) purchased from my local Auto Parts store, 2 new hose clamps, a vinyl vacuum hose cap ( the supplied petcock does not have a spot for the OEM vacuum hose so I had to cap it on the carb and remove the original hose). Additionally I had to remove some plastic material on the seat where it makes contact with the tank. The new tank flange was too wide to fit in the OEM seat slot. ( easy enough with a dremel tool)... I also had to purchase some new screws for the radiator guards since they were too short to fit in the new tank. I went with M6x100x12mm phillip screws. Overall I'm very happy with this tank. The description says it includes a vent hose mine did not. The cap feels pretty solid and the threading on the tank looks really good. Inside the tank I found no plastic shavings and it feels very high quality. The description of the capacity is a little confusing. The headline states it's a 3.9 gallon but in the description it says it's 3.7 gallon. Acerbis's website also states that it's 3.9 gallons. I have yet to fill it all the way up I will do so tomorrow.

Ordered for my 03 DRZ400S. Fit perfect except for the seat bracket that I shaved down with grinder in 2 minutes. Petcock leaked but I was sent a new one free of charge. Would order again.

Great tank just not for my drz400E you will have to make a bracket for the bottom and my rad cap is interfering with the tank

Is a very good tank, but surelly is my mistake on choose. My bike is a 2005 DRZ400e, and didn't fit perfectly, so, with some little works on, i have my bike with this very good tank. All sizes are good, but differences are on fixing supports. We had to weld 2 very different supports for bolts in the base of tank, and a pair of rubber fixes. Affortunately a very good mechanic could make works without problems.

Very sturdy plastic tank, just had to hit the seat tab with a file for a few minutes. The petcock is held in with self tappers but the plastic is very hard and it feels like it's not going anywhere.

The only issue I had was there was no tube or vapor valve for the gas cap.

It fits my DRZ 400 just fine.

Bought this to install on my 2019 Suzuki DRZ400. The gas tank came packaged however the box was highly damaged. Reached out to the seller and was disappointed. The seller after asking for various details, pictures and confirming invoice information failed to help me compensating for the damaged product. To note this is a shipping fault incident and seller should have assumed responsibility however it didn't happen. It is not a manufacturing defect. The product in itself is made of high quality materials, includes all installation hardware, and is easy to install. Installation instructions are clearly laid out and are easy to follow. Fits the DRZ400 perfectly with a little bit of filing away of the bracket which sits the seat. I would buy this gas tank again however not from this seller.

The angle of the tank will crinkle your seat as it is to steep. You will have to cut the upper bracket that clips onto the tank as well, I had to remove about a 1/2 inch of the pocket to even get the seat back on. You will likely have to elongate the holes on the rear seat mounts to get the bolts back in, and you must remove the centre bolt mounts completely. Remounting the seat is a two person job after mounting this tank... one person to put a knee and all their weight into the seat to push it forward an another to put the bolts in... I weigh 185 Lb I couldn't do it by myself.
