New 2019: 5 USB Classic Controllers - NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, N64, PlayStation 2 (PS2) for RetroPie, PC, HyperSpin, MAME, Emulator, Raspberry Pi Gamepad

NES Controller: Works fine. Feels like what I remember a factory NES controller would feel like. SNES Controller. Feels like what I remember a factory SNES controller would feel like. Sega Genesis Controller: Never owned a Genesis / Mega Drive, but it feels like I would expect. I did notice that with the D-Pad, you're able to push it in the center, and it would push all four directions down at once. I think I remember hearing that the original controller D-Pad didn't have the rocker nub under it either. Other than that, good controller. N64 Controller: The controller feels like a factory N64 controller should. Surprisingly the N64 controller has the area where you'd plug in a mempack or rumble pack, although there's no electronics to connect to, so you can't connect a mempack, rumble pack, or any other pack to it. It does have the retaining clip though, which I thought was odd. The stick feels like a factory one. I don't think they're using a factory style stick that has optical wheels, but a newer style "replacement" one that uses potentiometers. Still works fine though. PS1 / PS2 Controller: The PS1 / PS2 controller has no rumble motors, but that's to be expected. Both analog sticks are a little tight, just like a factory controller would be. Play with it for about six months, and it'll probably break in and be butter smooth. Pros: All of the controllers feel like you're plugging an original controller into your computer instead of your game system. Cord length on each controller is good, at roughly 6 feet long. If you need longer, get a USB extension cable. The buttons aren't mushy, it looks like they use the same kind of buttons that the originals use (carbon film on rubber). If I were given one of these controllers and an original controller, I honestly don't think I could tell the difference. They're just as durable as an original controller. They're not made of flimsy thin plastic. I tried giving the "rage gamer" test to both the N64 controller in this pack and my original N64 controller in where I gripped the two outside handles and twisted them; it had the same amount of flex and give as the one in this pack and they were pretty much exactly the same, almost no flex whatsoever. Cons: I do think the controllers could have been a little heavier though, to get the weight to what I expected them to be, though I don't have an original controller for any of them any longer to compare the weight with, except for the N64 and the PS1 / PS2 controllers. The original N64 controller feels slightly heavier, roughly four US quarters in difference. The same with the PS1 / PS2 controller, though the original controller has two rumble motors, whereas the one one included in this pack doesn't have any rumble motors. If the maker would put in a weight of some sort to "fake" the weight of the motors, I wouldn't be able to tell it was connected to a PC instead of a game console. I've tried all of the controllers in a PC and a Raspberry Pi, and they work as intended. If I were given a blind "taste test", I generally wouldn't be able to tell a difference between one of these controllers, and one that came with the original console. All in all, I think this was a good buy.

This is a must buy for emulation play with a buddy. I'm currently using them with LaunchBox on my TV and it brings back that true feeling of couch console gaming. I excluded a durability rating and will return later down the road for that one. All controllers seem to be functioning properly out of the box, so that's a great start when you're getting 10 of something (I bought 2 sets). Controller Build Quality/Weight: NES: Good plastic, noticeably lighter than original. SNES: Very close body match, nearly perfect weight. Genesis: Cheap plastic, noticeably lighter than original. N64: Very close body match, just slightly underweight. PS1: Very close body match, nearly perfect weight. Controller Buttons: NES: D-pad is cheap & sharp, buttons sharp and a bit loose. SNES: Near perfect SNES feel to d-pad & face + shoulder buttons. Genesis: Everything about this controller feels cheap AF (is this normal? I had the 3 button growing up, not the 6) N64: Near perfect feel to d-pad and all buttons/triggers. Did not expect joystick to work so well. PS1: Near perfect feel to entire controller. Summary: The NES and Genesis controllers are cheap, the other 3 you won't even notice they're third party once you get playing for a bit. An excellent deal for this bundle. No of the "cheapness" I mention took off from my overall star rating, as for less than $50 you cannot beat this package. Think of it as you're buying 3 GOOD emulation controllers and they're throwing in 2 other okay ones as a bonus.

I just got this in the mail and opened and tried all the controllers in OpenEmu on my MacBook. The NES and SNES controllers worked and felt great. The N64 controller was the main reason I bought this pack and it felt great but the joystick did not work in the up/right diagonal direction, so at 1-2 o'clock. I didn't try the Sega and PlayStation controllers, but all the controllers looked good and felt like they were of good quality. My N64 controller is probably just a little defective but I need Mario to be able to run in all directions and my Snowboard Kids kid won't flip or turn in that direction (those games are when I noticed the issue). Great price for good quality controllers, but my 64 joystick doesn't fully work so it's going back.

It's a decent pack of knockoff controllers for gaming, particularly emulating retro consoles. They all work well on Windows. Haven't had them long enough to attest to the durability. The material is as to be expected for the price. Came with a nice USB extension of decent length which is great. I bought this pack for use on my Android TV but they aren't recognized so that's a real bummer.

(slightly edited after using the controllers for a few weeks and initiating a replacement with the company) These controllers feel just like the originals. I'm not sure if my memory is just fuzzy or not, but I can't tell the difference. I shopped around for a few days, trying to find the controllers I wanted most and decided to go with this simply because it was the best way to get all of the controllers at once. Now, after having used them for a few weeks, I would recommend to anyone because they work great and give you that retro feel (much better than a generic controller or using an Xbox controller for everything). If you're looking for the classic feel (after tweaking some emulator settings for the N64 anyway), this is a good way to go. The only problem I had for a day is that something shook loose in the PlayStation controller and when using the d-pad the character will move up and to the left when I'm not pressing anything. I e-mailed them on a Saturday, they responded in one hour and overnighted me a replacement for free. So I'm up and running with a full set of working controllers and I've been using them every day. That's some of the best customer service I've ever gotten. So the product is great, and if you need it the support is even better. If you're stuck on which controllers to buy, I would choose these in a heartbeat.

The n64 and ps2 controllers are good enough for most of today's FPS shooters. They feel like the the real controllers, obviously they work great on emulators very natural. For those with concerns like I had: They do not feel hacky I didn't have to use weird utilities to get them working, the weight and button springs feel right, they don't feel like the flimsy "sleepover player 2" controllers we all got for our friends from gamestop. Obviously the price is right. I bought these and maybe a year later I built my brother a nice gaming setup and wasn't cheap about it. This was still my choice of controller.

I bought these for use with Hyperspin. These are great as I configured each controller for its respective system, and now I have the same configuration as the original game system controllers when I play games. I really like the N64 controller. I'd tried another controller and the analog stick on this one is by far better than the other one I tried. The NES and SNES controllers work great, as does the 6-button Genesis controller. The PS2 controller also feels great and I use it as a secondary MAME/Neo Geo/FBA controller when I want something to hold in my hands as opposed to my arcade stick (which is a little bulky). I was a little worried before ordering, as some of the other controllers I tried felt very cheap, but overall I am impressed with this set and it was an excellent value.

Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. I do have to say that some of the controllers are better than others in the set. NES controller - 3/5 it feels like a nes controller, but it has a cheaper feel to it than the real thing. The d pad is stiff and a little off, and something about the a and b buttons feels cheap as well. It’s not bad and it works, but I’m sure there’s better options out there. PlayStation controller - 5/5 it’s a great controller and feels exactly like the real thing. No complaints at all. N 64 controller - 4.5/5 it feels great and nice and heavy like the real thing. Doesn’t feel cheap at all and the analog stick is perfect. Something about it makes it feel like it’s a knock off, but it’s a great one and I would buy it again. Sega Genesis controller - 2/5 this is the worst controller in the bunch, and it just feels so cheap to put it bluntly. It’s way too light, the d pad sucks and doesn’t feel natural or like the real thing one bit, and the buttons rattle and feel like they’re made of cheap loose plastic. I don’t like this one. Super Nintendo Controller - 3.5/5 it’s a decent controller, but there are better knock offs available. The retro flag snes controller that came with my superpi case is slightly better IMO. It will do the job, and it doesn’t feel cheap like the Sega controller, but it could be better. The L and R buttons don’t feel quite right on it, and the labeling of the buttons looks off to me as well, but that’s not a big deal. Comes with 10 foot usb extension as well, which is awesome, and it works like it should. Overall, I’m happy with this set, and there’s nothing about it that is really worth complaining about, other than the poor Sega controller. I would buy again for the price, and I would recommend it to my friends as well. UPDATE- one month later, after using the Sega genesis controller exactly one time for about 10 minutes, the cord has began to break at the connection point on the controller. This is the only one of the bunch that it appears to be happening to, and it doesn’t surprise me as it is the cheapest feeling controller of the lot. I’m going to use some electric tape for now, but this is a sign of how bad the quality is on this particular controller. (See my pics to see what I’m talking about) it doesn’t affect my opinion overall, and I would still give it 4 stars overall, but if it was one of the controllers that I used more often, I would most likely have returned them.
