This was an item we came across when vacationing in Costa Rica and it works so well keeping flying bugs away from your food. Batteries seem to last for our amount of usage (1–3 nights of eating outside in the summer months).

These fly/bug fans saved our summer picnics. It was great setting food out without having to worry about bugs landing on the food. The fact that these can continue to work while you can still grab food. This is one of the greatest inventions. They are very easy to put together and you only need 2 AA batteries. The pack comes with 4 which is perfect for a large table. My family and friends have all ordered these and everyone is happy to have them. They definitely help us enjoy our outdoor time with everyone. The kids all thought they were fun to watch and the bugs were upset they could not get near the food. They are a win win for everyone.
