Wedding Cakes With Lorelie Step by Step

I've been a cake decorator for over 40 years, but knew this would be a great book to have. And it did not disappoint! It's got wonderful recipes, as well as charts on how to increase the ingredients to make a larger cake. Lorelie gives easy to follow instructions, making this a great book to add to any caker's collection, whether you're a beginner or an expert!

My wife successfully baked and decorated a cake for our neice's wedding using this book, Lorelie's website, and other sources. If you want to work from all of the information you can get, you need this book too. That said, there were places we could have used more: Lots of weddings are in the summer, and butter cream frosting can be a challenge to make with "room temperature" butter in an un-airconditioned kitchen. Hints on how to make it work, or when to pivot and go with cream cheese frosting, would have been appreciated.

Has pictures, has descriptions, why and how, describes and shows photos of equipment used, for example, how to hold together the various layers of wedding cakes, how to transport as well as how to make and decorate, has multiple excellent recipes. Highly recommend this book.

I would highly recommend this to all my baking friends and friends that are just getting into baking as well!! For the beginning baker to the most advanced can all learn from this book! The instructions are very thorough and I have learned so much from this book and community that Lorelie has built online on YouTube and Facebook.

The instructions are very clear with a high level of detail. I don't make wedding cakes, but this book had great information on how to set up any tiered cake and contains lots of nudges to your creativity. I love the links to new information on her web site. There is far more to this book than most. The recipes are delicious. You have her videos on YouTube to refer to as well as her web site.

This is my not so secret go to cake book. I first have her e-book then bought this hardcopy for my collection. Its not only for wedding cakes but any occasions since she gives you different measurement for different pan sizes. Its very detailed even for beginners. The recipes are guaranteed delicious. I feel confident every time I make it that people will be satisfied with my cake. She also have youtube demonstration of her recipe so you can see how she does it as well as a group in FB and you can communicate to her. It's really worth it!

This really is a most helpful book, especially being a newbie baker. The recipes look superb and I can't wait to try them. For some reason, my ebook was missing the photos, but they are all there today, so my initial disappointment has evaporated. Thank you for taking the time and for your generosity in sharing your years of experience. Now I feel I have the confidence to attempt a tiered cake, no more excuses after reading your wonderful book.

This is one of the best go to books that you can have in your cake library. I have used Lorelie's recipes for years in my cake business and my customers attest to their deliciousness! Easy to read, loads of great tips. This book will help beginner to accomplished decorator. Well worth the purchase!

Nice little book but was disappointed that all was on buttercream icing and nothing on fondant. Tried the first recipe and cake did not rise as a cake should. I guess it’s because baking powder is at the beginning stages not the end. I’ve baked loads of cake and was disappointed with this cake. Not to mention that there was nothing of fondant. Would’ve nice to state this on your listing so we know before we buy

I was disappointed with this book having read some very good reviews. The book is a very thin paperback, the pictures are very dated and not inspiring. I have kept it in order to try the recipes, but I have to say that I think the price of the book does not in any way, shape or form give value for money.

I bought this and download it to my ipad. It's great for those with little or no experience of making a wedding cake. It really is step by step and helpfully lists all the equipment and ingredients you will need before you get started Great buy at the price.
