I bought this muffler for my f150 with a 4.2 v6. I’ve ran my truck completely straight piped with no catalytic converters or muffler with a y-pipe single exit for a couple years and really it was way too loud. I wanted good tone but still have some volume and this muffler did the job, I ordered the 2.25 inlet and outlet with center in center out, single inlet and exit. Still using the same y-pipe single with no converters. It sounds real nice and deep down low and has decent volume up top. If you have heard a flowmaster original 40, this is how this muffler sounds since it’s a clone of it. The in the cab volume is very mild but you can still hear it, it’s a lot louder outside of the truck but either way inside the cab it’s very pleasant. Now keep in mind I have absolutely no converters or resonators and this is a side exit exhaust. If you have a ford f150 with a 4.2, the way with muffler sounds will greatly depend if you have catalytic converters or not as they them selves act as mufflers. For example if you ran your 4 converters with no muffler it would be not even as loud as my setup with this muffler. This muffler with the stock converters will be very very mild. The build quality on this muffler looks decent! The fit was great with the inlet and outlet sliding over my existing pipe, just cut and weld was all that was needed.

I replace my original exhaust muffler on a 93 ford f250 5.0 with this one cause i didn't want to spend a lot of money since is just a work truck and i was very satisfied with the product cause is good quality and it sounds good

It’s great for the price I can’t see it being a good choice for a nicer truck but for a slightly more aggressive sound on a 5 cylinder Colorado it sounds great. Idle is good not too raspy or loud

Ok , im changing my reveiw , i took this muffler off bc i thought something had came loose inside and got a smaller cherry bomb similar shape just smaller . This one sounds better. After further investigation the goon who installed it did some whompy welds and just gooned my whole exhaust system up. It was a hole that was hiddenand then tried to fix it when i bought the new muffler but soon started making the same noise. Id like to put this one back on now that i figured out the issue. This one has a way better sound plus that gurgle when you let off the gas . Its loud but not to bad , im a neck but this is on my work truck. I keep it professional as i can . Ha

These are a little more quiet that straight through glass packs but still sound great like a corvette should. They are the right length and pipe size. So far no issues and I love them. I can hear the stereo. Seem to be rust resistant as they have been on for several weeks and several rains. Just attached the tips to the out and clamped on the pipes in and attached the mount. Took about 1/2 hour to install each. Might look better if chromed.

Works fine, but not really a muffler. Pretty much a blow through. No internal sound deadening material. LOUD!

Will do its job at making the car much louder. However, I paired these 2 as rear mufflers and a straight through resonator and it created unbearable deep cabin drone at 1.6-2k rpm. I believe this product does its job but not for my car.

This muffler is rattling very loudly and I can't use it like this
