Surprisingly nice!
I wasn't sure what to expect for these pencils, as I was not familiar with this brand & the price was so reasonable. Received this set and Kalour's 50 piece Metallic Colored Pencil set yesterday. I have to say I'm impressed with these. They are not as "creamy" as Prismacolors which I have, but I didn't expect them to be at this price point. Pros: - 50 pencils for $19.99 is a bargain. - Nice range of colors, I would've liked less of the yellows and a bit more of the purple shades, but that's just personal preference, I'm sure others would appreciate the extra yellows in this set. The blue and green shades are very nice! - Can get a nice range of intensity just varying how much pressure you use, and it doesn't take a ton of layers to get a darker result. I also find that as they are not as soft/creamy as the Prismacolor (didn't expect them to be), I am not using as heavy a hand when coloring with them as I do with Prismacolors, so this is a plus for me (less hand fatigue). - I can see using this set quite a bit as the colors here don't really duplicate anything in the Prismacolor line, and will give me a broader choice of pastel shades to choose from. - Get alot of mileage out of the pencil before you need to sharpen it again. - Comes with a DIY Color Chart to fill in - I always make one for what I buy but Kalour including one (on a heavier paper even!), that also is large enough to be useful but small enough to tuck into the case is very nice! - Lightfastness rating, color number, & color name are provided on the pencils, the DIY Color Chart, & the inside of the box lid! - The exterior of the pencil is colored and is very representative of the actual color of the pencil! - Nice quality box for storing the pencils. Cons: - Kalour could've picked color names more reflective of the color of the pencil for a few of the pencils, e.g. "Peach" is more pink and "Cherry Blossom" is more peach (most cherry blossoms I see are the pink shade that is labelled as "peach"); "Flesh" I wouldn't have used at all for the obvious reason, I think another name might've been better to reflect the color of this pencil more accurately (maybe "Nectarine" or "Canteloupe" since Apricot is already used). - Not available open stock as far as I can tell, will be checking Kalour's website to see if they are there. Even so, the set is very reasonably priced and I foresee using these enough that buying the sets won't be that inconvenient as I'll be using these pencils quite often. I also ordered Kalour's 50 piece Metallic Colored Pencil set at the same time as this and have left a review on that product as well. Summary - great set of pencils, very nice range of colors, really good quality, and very reasonably priced. I will be buying more of these in the future. Happy Coloring!

Cute colors
Nice set, pretty colors.... But there's some similar looking shades in my 120pc set. Sharpens nicely with my prismacolor and Faber castell sharpeners.

Look no farther...I got your back.
I am not an expert... But I have a few different kinds of colored pencils. These are amazing!!! I don't have to push hard and hurt my hand to get rich color. I just looooove the colors in this cute case. I plan on ordering even more from this brand. In fact I already have 2 more cases coming lol what can I say? You have to get these and try them!! They sharpen like a dream. My other pencils just break the tip off when you sharpen them to much. I hope this is helpful if so give me a like. Thank you

Good Beginner Set
The pencils are soft and creamy, nice to use. The colors are, what I would call, “smoky” in appearance meaning not glossy or shiny. There is a basic color palette of pastels. Two of the pencil tips were broken off. I did not find the tips in the box so they must have been placed in that way. I sharpened them, they made a nice point and did not break when using. I will use these for coloring fun. Update: having used them longer, these pencils are waxy, do not layer well, leave wax on the paper and you will use them up fast because you have to press hard to get the color even. You will use them up quickly and spend a lot of time blending. Having said that, the colors are still nice and I will probably use them for highlighting. They still sharpen well.

These are just as good as the expensive colored pencils.
I use these with my daughter and we love them. The colors are so cute and work well. When I work on my art she will color and these are a cheaper alternative to what I normally use and I still enjoy using these in my art projects. I will use these with my mixed media projects so when I use watercolor pencils and markers and sometimes just want a pastel color and normal color pencil I will use these and work along side my daughter. I got her a bunch of Kalie color pencils while I use a lot of prismacolor pencils but honestly I will use either in a pinch and these work just as well.

Kalour Macaron colors
I love the variety that I found in this addition to my Kalour collection of color pencils. They are called Macaron because the colors resemble the colors of macaron candy. They are bright and as with my other Kalour pencils, they cover well and blend easily. They were reasonably priced. I recommend them with a 5 star.
