I bought this product after a random suggested video on YouTube. I've been looking for something to provide shine and make my naturally dry hair look healthier. This has worked better than expected. As I do have thick, curly long hair I do leave it on longer than the suggested time frame on the bottle. I usually leave it on 45 minutes to an hour. I'd recommend tweaking times based on your hair. I was also worried about the smell. It has an earthy soap oil smell that is not off-putting for me. I've had other products that the smell alone made me self-conscious about leave my hair down. I also like that it doesn't make my hair heavy. I recommend!

It smells sooo good! Almost like a man’s cologne lol. The consistency is kind of watery and my children and I have really thick, curly hair so I have to apply it a few times in order to cover our entire head. My daughter & I both have sensitive scalps and it doesn’t irritate us at all, thankfully. Overall, I love it so far!

Oil makes the hair more lustrous, soft, and easily manageable m. Smells amazing as well. If your hair is breaking, try it out (then use a hair sealant to keep the moisture).

This oil has a light clean smell that doesn't conflict with your perfume. It makes my hair shiny. It loses one star because I hate the idea of putting green and yellow dyes on my scalp near my brain. That makes me soooo uncomfortable. I probably will not buy this oil again.

I'm sure it works just as well for normal scalps but, I was recently diagnosed with AtopicDermatis, which has caused me to shed more than normal when it flares up and gets itchy. I've used this oil 9 times by now, and every wash day I shed so much less that I was shocked. The size of the ball from which I roll up from what gets caught up in my hair catcher is so much smaller and denser, it made a huge difference so, I highly recommend the Cactus Enriched version of these oils for hair loss!!

First off, the smell is amazing! It’s like a baby powder scent, but a little stronger. I’ve noticed a difference in my hair after using it. I’ve been massaging it in and leaving it for an hour before washing it out at least once a week for two weeks now. My hair feels fuller, softer, and I’ve been having less breakage. It’s definitely a great product and I can see real results!

I use mostly all Dabur products except shampoo (I use sulfate free shampoo). I love the coconut enriched oil and that was, and still is, a staple in my regimen. This oil I bought because I wanted a light weight oil to apply to my scalp. The coconut oil I use for my ends. Well I must say I'm gald I decided to try something new. This oil is perfect for light application and keeps my hair very moisturized. My scalp is less itchy (which usually happens during the winter months) and it smells good. It comes in a very big bottle so after filling my applicator bottle with a nozzle, I gave the rest to my sister (who is natural) and she loves it as well. If it says Dabur Vatika you can't go wrong as far as the maintenance and health of your hair. Buy it! ***I had to come back and add this**** I noticed another reviewer stating it has mineral oil as the first ingredient. PLEASE don't let these self-proclaimed "natural hair gurus" steer you away from an age-old staple in the African-American community. Not speaking of the reviewer, I don't know them, but of the many on YouTube and natural sites such as Curly Nikki. While some people may not like, or want anything to do with mineral oil, others love it, as do their hair. Bottom line: What works for your hair works for YOUR hair. A key thing to remember with any oil is to use it in moderation. My hair has no problem accepting this product with mineral oil (although I do not use many) and it has helped to keep my hair and scalp moisturized. I have noticed less breakage and most importantly my hair not only feels healthier, it looks it too.

Was really excited to try this as I have heard good things about this hair oil. For the price, I thought it would be good to use as a pre wash oil. However, when I received it it was leaking all over the package. I ended up returning it because nearly half the bottle was leaked out. Disappointing.

Great hair oil. Just open the bottle and place your palm on the top and flip the bottle and unflip it to get some oil on your palm in a circular shape, and then lather your hair with it. Makes your hair look and feel lusher and fresh. The scent is stunning as well. Highly recommended hair oil!
