I bought the wrong solution. Not the fault of Agamatrix. I'm guessing this works, because I bought Agamatrix control #2, as well. That one is the correct one for my Choice machine, and that one works.

It read 183 on my old meter which has been in my First Responder bag in my pickup for about 5 years. It should have read between 113 and 153 (very wide range) if the meter and strips were good. I have been intermittent fasting since last year, which is supposed to get you into mild ketosis, and decided to check my BGL. If you're in mild ketosis your BGL will be below 90. Mine was creeping above that, so I bought the control solution. Time to replace my old meter. By the way, urine ketone test strips might not tell if you're in mild ketosis right away since the ketones have to first build up in the blood before the kidneys start removing them. Then it has to build up high enough in the urine to be measurable. The instructions say the solution works only with certain brands of meters, but I think many of the brands are made by the same company, especially when the control labels on the strips are identical.
