Note- photos of watch while not on my wrist show the watch with protective film cover. Very well packaged having the watch and customer in mind. Comes with a small 3 page booklet with few words but lead to a wealth of knowledge to include the Citizen App, registration, warranty, instructions, care, etc. The watch itself has a reassuring feel of attention to detail and quality. Fits well where you know it’s there but nowhere being the slightest bit uncomfortable. Some watches if I don’t wear them tight, the watch drifts slightly towards the outer portion of my wrist. Not this one. Sits centered and not too tight. As you can see in the outdoor pics, the watch produces a pleasant sunburst effect as others mentioned. The crown placement is easy to access and does not pinch my wrist. Some edges look sharp but are smooth to the touch with zero hotspots. The two watch band retainers do shift ever so slightly which is to be expected. They can easily slide to your preference where they stay for hours. Setting the time and date is smooth per easy instructions. Band is not too thick, too thin or too wide and is paired very well with the watch itself. I’ve never felt a material for a band this subtle. The hands & number colors are easy to read. Luminosity is spot on. I knew coming in to this that the date window would be small but that is a zero issue for me. This is my first Citizen and my homework paid off. Citizen won me over as I consider this to be perfection within my price range. Highly recommend!

Well made and high quality watch. I'm left handed and wear my watches on the left hand and having the offset crown makes this watch very comfortable to wear. The rubber band is a bit chunky but not a deal breaker here. I think this model is a perfect and affordable way to enter the solar watch field.

This Citizen is a great looking watch that combines sportiness with an easy to read face. The price is also unbeatable. My wrist is 6.5 in (165 mm) and this watch fits well despite its case being over 41mm. The lugs are well positioned and the soft rubber strap stretches nicely offering a secure fit. The hands are beautiful and are well aligned with the numbers and minute indices. The face has a bit of a sunburst affect resulting in a radiance compliments the fixed bezel. The numbers appear to be painted but are raised, so they seem like they're applied. Only two minor quibbles: The crystal is nice, but domed sapphire would be better (obviously) and the date window is a little small. This watch still earns 5 stars from me.

I own other Citizen watches, I’ve got to say this one’s my favorite. The fit, the size, the overall appearance, all come together to make a great everyday watch. When you consider that I have had no issue with ANY Citizen watches over the years of ownership just adds to its appeal. The only reason I held at 4 stars is this… while it’s a good watch, it could be better. The bezel is NOT unidirectional. Do I use this feature? Yes I do… looks like for work I’ll wear another watch while I switch back to it around town.

This was my first eco drive type watch, and have wanted a solar type watch for a while. I like that I shouldn't need to change the battery for about 10 years. I like that this one has a unique style that doesn't look like most other watches. I also like that it's not flashy, but looks like a quality watch. The rubber type band it comes with is very comfortable, and even feels supple on my wrist. Much nicer than the hard rubber type band I had on another watch 20 years ago. The 100m WR is a nice plus.

The look of the watch overall is good. Has kind of a vintage vibe to it. Rubber strap is long enough for even the largest of wrists and is comfortable. As another reviewer stated, the two strap holders don't stay in place very well. Lume is TERRIBLE, don't expect more than about 3 minutes of night visibility even after exposure to UV light for a minute or so. Setting time and date is different for sure due to the location of the crown. It's a bit "harder to reach" as it's very close to the lug area, which acts as a crown guard. Overall it fits well and is comfortable to wear (I have a 7 3/4"-ish wrist size). It's solar powered, so that's a plus as far as not having to worry with a battery change for a while. Now when it stops accepting a charge, I'm sure that'll be a different story. I got mine on sale for $135.00, I'd been waiting on the price to come down from the $170-ish range for quite a while. Doesn't have a sapphire crystal. The second hand doesn't line up with the markers, just off slightly. I may send back for replacement, but overall not terribly disappointed. I have some Pagani Design watches that offer sapphire, hands line up and lume is equal for less money w/ a Sekio NH35 movement.

Great watch that is an impeccable work of art. I’ve had a diver watch for 8 years and it’s still going strong. Worth every penny !!!

Citizen has earned my well deserved respect over time having carved out a niche in the world of affordable solar-fueled watches with a nearly perfect combination of looks, style, value, and reliability. I just added this future classic 'Seaplane' Eco Drive watch to my collection. It has its own distinct look that makes it stand out in an ocean of lookalike diver style watches. I decided to replace the very comfortable silicone strap that came on it with a leather strap that adds a bit more character and appeal to it. Very happy with my newest Eco Drive.
