I never thought I'd rave about an iron let alone pay this much for one but honestly, it's one of the best household gadgets I've ever purchased. It's lightweight and comfortable to use and the steam generator is second to none, hefty continuous blasts whenever you need them. It's also a doddle to use as there's no need to set the temperature - there's literally no dial, I don't know how it works but I've gone from a thick shirt to a silk blouse and it removes creases effortless but not burned a thing. It's also really smart, I live in a very hard water area which regularly clogs and destroys things but the iron monitors itself and warns when it needs a clean, then with the push of a button, it cleans itself through into the provided tray expelling all the built up muck in under 2 mins. Honestly, yes it's expensive but it's well worth the money!

I will admit that it took a little bit to learn how to use it properly, but after that whether in autosense or manual, a great iron for me. Steam and pressure is great.

Absolutely Amazing Iron and Excellent Qaulity Bought this for my son who is going into the RAF shortly. Paid a little more for this iron and it was worth every penny. Easy to use, a large water tank, masses of steam and a great descaling feature and included descaling container. It's so good, I think we'll buy another one for ourselves. Puts our own ironing board to shame.

Replaced a failed Phillips Generator Steam Iron that had lasted for years and due to the exceptional quality decided to get another Phillips. The Iron is as my Wife says, Awesome bit of kit with more Steam than the previous Model. BUT The only Caveat to this is the Water container is not designed to remove all the Water left at the end of the Ironing session, Not a big deal for most Folks but my Wife like it emptied propa. So out came the Dremel and I carefully inserted a small 6mm Dia Hole in the corner opposite the outlet port using the small Dremel Drill and gently enlarging to 6mm, Please be aware that due to the Brittle nature of Plastic in this scenario running a 6mm Jobber Drill bit straight in will likely end up splitting the plastic and there goes the Reservoir Tank. What I did was, as they say for demonstration purposes and is in no way implied that you should replicate my Modification.. That said My Wife is happy now all the Water can be emptied..

AVOID - The quality of this product is cheap, the steam isn't powerful at all, spits water on clothes.Just go for a better brand, this is terrible value for money.

This has replaced my polti steam generator and what a difference this machine is, light and powerful. The steam generator has its own setting for heat so not adjustable which at first I was dubious about but it has handled everything I've thrown at it from clothing including jeans and cotton bedding with ease, with no issues regarding this function.So much lighter that the previous generator and also the water tank is removable so no longer carrying jugs of water to the iron, just remove the tank and fill. All in all I have no issues or complaints regarding this product and if this one fails in the future I will be buying another Philips. Thank you Amazon for a great machine and price.
