Great for Veterinary use
I am an ER vet tech and I bought these to use as my personal clippers at work. Likes: - Provides a surgical grade clip. Very clean and close to the skin. - Very quiet. Great for patients that are startled by clipper noise. - Clips the stubborn soft bunny hair better than other clippers. - Takes a while for blade to get hot compared to other clippers. I’m able to clip for much longer before having to stop and give it time to cool. This also helps reduce the chance of clipper burn. - The narrow blade lets me get into the awkward nooks and crannies (ex. Lacerations in awkward places and boney legs needing IVCs) - Comes with a blade cover. Prevents it from cutting my scrubs when it accidentally turns on in my pocket. Dislikes: - It will stall much sooner than other clippers if the hair is too thick/matted. - Has a push power button instead of a switch. I keep it in my pocket and will accidentally turn on sometimes when leaning on something. - The smaller blade is not ideal for large surgical fields and will take a long time to clip. - I lost the blade cover and have not been able to find a replacement to purchase.

Pet clippers
Used it for the first time yesterday and it worked great for such a small clipper

Nice Trimmer
My husband uses it when he grooms our dogs. He said it makes grooming their feet easier and the low volume does not bother them. Quality is very good.

Not worth the money.
I bought this for my poodle puppy because someone recommended this product. I liked how small the clippers were since she is only 9 weeks old. She had never been shaved before, I was just doing a puppy cut on her. The clippers kept getting clogged with her fur after a one inch pass. So as you can imagine it was very frustrating that I had to keep cleaning the clippers the whole time. Since she is a puppy time was of the essence. I truly don’t know how you could surgically shave a dog in a timely manner with these. We got out my husbands beard trimmer and it was not only quieter but in fact worked so much better. I believe his only cost about $40. Maybe these just don’t like puppy fur or poodle fur. All I know is that this is the worst Wahl product I’ve ever bought. I’m just sticking with regular dog clippers from now on.

Quiet
Very quiet & works really well for getting in small areas like between toes.

Must have for matted cats!
Trimmer with training wheels…great for matted cats. This trimmer has very tiny spaces between teeth making it almost impossible to get cat skin caught in them. It makes it very slow to cut in comparison to a 5 in 1 blade yet I wouldn’t want to work on removing a cats mats without this tool. Most other trimmers the teeth are wide enough for cat skin to slip into. Cat skin can be super thin especially on older cats and those are typically the cats that stop grooming themselves and get mats.

Not worth the price
Although it is a nice clipper and feels good in my hand, I think it is over priced. I wanted the small size for doing my poodles feet but it doesn’t work well with the adjustable blade guard that comes with it so I could try to use it on the face.

Quit after 10 months
Worked great until it quit after 10 months. My last little Wahl like this lasted over 10 years. I use minimally for 1 dog, mostly just paws. I rarely needed to charge it and did not leave it on charger stand. It quit holding a charge. Since it’s under warranty, I paid to have it shipped back, and hopefully they’ll replace it. From Wahl: You may send in your unit(s) to be serviced/ replaced. You are able to send the product in any box or padded envelope with a note including your name, address, phone number, and a brief description of the issue. Also, we unfortunely do not have any estimated turn around time, it will depend on the issue with your unit, and if the parts are available to fix at that time. You are more than welcome to call us at anytime to check on the status of your repair/replacement.
