Great product! Compact and great for massaging sore muscles.
The quality of this massage ball is excellent. It is firm enough to use for any muscle group with just the right amount of flex for use anywhere comfortably. I really like using it for deep massaging my rear delts and my back because I have a hard time reaching those areas, but it works great on any muscle group. To massage my back, I am also able to use it while laying down with my back on the floor (and against a wall) which is really convenient. The tread is really good at reaching deeper into the muscles which seems to make this work really well without needing to massage for very long. I don't have to use it for very long in any area to feel like it is working. It's small enough that it fits into my gym bag easily. It also includes a nice carrying pouch with tie strings, which is a really cool bonus. I'm very impressed with this massage ball and it's helping me a lot with controlling soreness.

This is a fun stretch/exercise enhancer- very durable
I exercise alot and I like trying new fitness items. This ball was more of a treat or experiment for me than a necessity. I am not prone to muscle knots and when I do have pain or discomfort, I usually just walk it off til it feels better; massaging never really crossed my mind as an option for pain and tightness but I do see alot of people at the gym using balls like this one and rollers so when the opportunity to try this one came along, I was excited. Even though the size was clearly explained on Amazon, I was surprised to see the ball when it arrived. It seemed smaller than I had imagined. But I was impressed with how hard it is. It really presses into whatever body part I try it on and the material it is made of has a good amount of friction with the wall or floor so even if I am not pushing against the ball very hard, it doesnt roll away, it stays put. The packaging is attractive. The little carrying bag seems durable and lightweight enough, so I can see this being good for people who like to bring their own items to the gym with them. I do wish it came with more instruction and ideas for use. Like I said, using this was my first time using a massage ball or anything like it, so I could see on the little card it came with, that I could put it between my shoulder and the floor, between my glute and the floor, between my back and the wall but then I didn't know what I should really do after that or what I should expect it to feel like, or how long I should do it for optimal results, etc. I found a short video with a couple using the ball and smiling but it didn't help me any more than the little card the ball came with. So, I guess it has been trial and error, figuring out what feels good and how I think I should use this. I've found I like adding the ball into other stretches or exercises. Like if I am doing wall sits, massage my back with the ball or if I am going to do hip thrusters, roll my feet on the ball. Ive only had it for a week, Im sure Ill come up with more ideas. While I am using the ball, it isn't a sensation I really enjoy but I do notice I like the way I feel on the muscles I used it on later in the day. Also, oddly enough, when I sneeze, especially if I have been training my back that day, my back tenses up so much that it hurts but since I have been using the muscle max on my back, it hasn't been tensing up as much when I sneeze. That was an unexpected but welcomed result. I cant honestly say if this product seems like a good value for the money because I haven't ever bought any similar product or gone to a human massager, so that's why I left that unrated.

Perfect for Sciatica and deep knots
I have some really deep knots in my lower back that even muscle relaxers weren’t helping and my hubs has sciatica- I can’t rub deeply enough to help him. When I complained about my back hurting at work my coworker handed me this ball and told me to try it. It’s amazing! It’s very hard- harder and bigger than the tennis balls I’ve used. It’s easier to use when you’re rolling against a wall bc it doesn’t slip. I ordered my own that night. I debated about some cheaper versions and can’t speak to how effective any other brands are, but I’m glad I didn’t. I use it multiple times a day. At 1st I rolled my back against the wall for 15-30 minutes but after 2-3 times the knots were gone. Now I use it for a few minutes anytime my back starts aching (when I first wake up, after sitting at my desk). My hubs uses it against a wall and laying on it. Much cheaper than the PT my doctor recommended (although that’s probably better for getting to the root of the problem), portable, just really effective at pain relief. Works on shoulder and neck knots too!

Good massage ball, but a little too big for some applications
Just for transparency, I’d like to state that I was reimbursed to try out this product. I was surprised at the size of the ball since I’m used to using a lacrosse ball or tennis ball. It is hard so you have to be gentle depending on how sensitive you are. The size makes it good for rolling on a wall against your chest and also has a bunch of grooves that seems to aid it catching onto your contact. It comes with its own protective pouch so the dogs don’t think it’s their toy and chew it up. I don’t really see the point in all the grooves but it does provide some massaging effect as well. I’d say it’s good for therapy and feels good to roll under your feet. Does what its intended to do. It’s a little too big for some spots but makes rolling on the chest and glutes easier. I am enjoying this product, thanks!

Self massage with a ball is an art. It takes time to develop tolerance and learn to position the body to adjust pressure on the target area. Sometimes clothing helps to control movement. Seated on a hardwood cofee table , I can lean forwards back and sideways with support from arms, to fully target hamstrings, glutes and hips. This ball grips. Between a lacrosse ball and softball in size. (I use all three.) Great for shoulder desensitization. My favourite ball.

Really good quality, a great massage ball. Just be aware that this one is rock hard, not soft like some others…

This ball is amazing, I think a lot of people don't know how to use this thing. It's NOT to roll on, you have to SQUASH your muscle knots and trigger points. In that department, it's an excellent companion. I fixed my whole back shoulders, triceps and even my calves with just me, this ball and a wall. It's extremely hard, but that's what you want! Again, you are NOT meant to roll on this thing. You have to press it deep into those trigger points for like 2-3 minutes, and then stretch those muscle once you've tenderized them. 5 stars for me, I massage myself everyday with this thing.

Take it slow and set time aside to work your body if you breath through the pain and do a 2 minute count when you find a trigger point (knotted muscle) it will usually release close to that time frame and the results will be obvious. I've tried many RMT and self helps tools the back buddy back massage tool was my favorite until I tried this Roller Ball it crushes all the other tools as it allows you to relax the area your working on so the muscle can release from its cramped / knotted/ locked state that it could have been in for many years. You won't be disappointed with this purchase. I dropped my sugar intake to 20 grams a day or less then cut my coffee back to 1 a day and my results from released tight muscles is astounding this Roller Ball is worth every penny and holds its shape when put my full body weight on it while giving enough so not to be overwhelming painful. You can also use it to strike your muscles much like some therapist's that use tools to hammer areas you can do very gental tapping or harder impacts just be careful I've brushed my leg and had some weird bump bulge up that when away within hours so take it slow. You can also roll it with your hand all over your neck Jaw and face along with foot work it's a do it all little tool you can potentially realign your own body on your own, a little prayer for help wouldn't hurt :)

Doesn't slip or cave in - the best 'ball' I've tried for self massage against a wall etc. I've not seen something of this quality in store ever! So a great Amazon kind of purchase that will last forever
