Used this heat mat to germinate more than 200 shishito pepper seeds and had a 99% success rate, almost all seeds germinated. Decreased germination time by almost a week. Great product, would highly recommend.

I have 3 of these types of strip heating mats. I use them to go around my gallon sized kombucha jars during the winter and they work fine. They keep my fermenting kombucha at just the right temperature. Two of these mats I've had for years and only purchased another one fairly recently. I find them to be very useful and am very pleased with them.

This is my second season sowing seeds so I can't say for certain why I got low germination rates but this product didn't seem to help as I would hope. That being said, the product works fine and provides stable heat. It fits my growing tray well and is super easy to set up. Smells fine too.

Can't speak to how well this works for seedlings, but I use it to keep my dough warm while it's fermenting and proofing. Perfect for this. Adds a little warmth without too much heat. I get better and faster rise than say on top of the fridge.

This heat mat is awesome! Living in Northwest Ohio, this mat allows me to jump start all of my bulbs and tubers and get them growing before the spring planting season. We had previously purchased a pair of Vivosun 10-inch by 20.75-inch heat mats and they worked well. This spring we added to our collection by purchasing the Vivosun 48-inch by 20.75-inch mat and, wow, now we have so much more capacity! We set up the mat on a 6-foot folding table in our three-season room and started the growing season in early March. Within two weeks my canna lilies, elephant ears and dahlias were all sprouting and getting big. The size of the mat is great, providing enough space and nurturing heat for between 55 to 60 4-inch pots. The mat keeps the planted pots about 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the air temperature in the room, which is ideal for kickstarting germination and developing strong roots. If you are a serious gardener or just want to get an early start on the growing season, I would highly recommend a Vivosun heat mat.

This works very well. I use it with a thermostat controller. I’ve started many plants for my garden. I also use it to warm frames of honey before I extract them.

EDIT - Sorry, I reviewed the mat and the Vovosun Thermostat Controller at the same time! The mat by itself gets too warm without being controlled by a thermostat controller. I wrap this around the bottom of the bottle and stick the probe onto the bottle about half way up. It keeps the temperature within a half a degree to a degree according to the thermometer and it seems pretty accurate when checking with the temp strip on the bottle. It's working great and will make kombucha making much easier through the colder months!

Works excellent, gives the extra warmth needed and helps pop the seeds during the winter.
