We replaced all of our door hardware with the Kwikset Milan style. Quality at an affordable price. Can’t go wrong with this brand and installation only requires a screwdriver. These are my go-to interior door handle for modern bedrooms and bathrooms that require privacy handles, and I use the passage version for passage doors. They look stylish and clean. The black matches other matte black door hardware and hinges, and there is no wobble or flimsy feeling the comes with many of the non brand name versions. I installed these on my front house 5 years ago and they are as good today as they were then. I just installed them on a second house this year and am happy I found a somewhat affordable door hardware option that doesn't compromise on quality.

Ok. We’re being picky. The lever and quality are absolutely a fine upgrade for the builder-grade gold knobs we’re replacing in our single family home. What we didn’t like were two things—the thickness of the handle portion specifically as it comes perpendicular from the door—to a discerning eye it appears unrefined and bulky. The replacement we chose instead of this lever (mfr: Okun) has a slight taper at this point and it is so much more enjoyable. Second, comparing these two models, the Kwikset’s finish appears slightly inexpensive with a greenish hue—again, being picky and we certainly didn’t fully notice until we had them side by side. Lastly, the interior of the Kwikset includes much more plastic components than the other mfr. Again, a solid upgrade! But we chose to spend a little more for these reasons.

Needed to replace existing one as the rotary spring broke and the handle just dropped on both sides of the door. That was a builder-grade model. However this Kwikset unit looks exactly like my original and has a superb finish. Installation took only 5 minutes and I did not need to adjust the depth on the latch. There are alternatives but Kwikset is the best. Hint: Wear gloves when installing to avoid getting the lubrication all over the finish.
