My house is 1 storey, 1000 sf on the ocean. I have a 1000 litre water tank that fills with rain water and water from the municipality. I installed the pump and connected to the water tank to boost the pressure but when I turned on the pump I had zero water pressure in the house. The water from the street was connected to the water tank, and then the tank connected to the pump. The power from the pump was not enough to overcome the back pressure of water in the pipes, thus no water pressure at all. I had to run another line from the street water bypassing the water tank to increase the pressure enough so that I would have water in the house. By doing so I got a slight boost in pressure, but not a lot. I'll be replacing the pump with a bigger one with a pressure tank so that I can connect my system to the large water tank.
