Plum Play Wooden Kids Kitchen – Bakehouse Roleplay Toy with Lights, Sounds, Accessories & Fridge – Pretend Indoor Play Set for Ages 3+

As a childminder I have been searching for the perfect wooden play kitchen for my mindees for years, I’ve had various ones over time but not one of those matches up to this. The attention to detail, from the flashing light in the microwave, the ice dispenser, cooker good light and the marble effect backing just makes it look and feel like a “real” kitchen. Oh and of course the colour is beautiful, exactly as it looks in the photos. Assembly took a long time, about 4 hours by myself, but was actually very easy once I got my brain working. I have had it nearly a month now and children from 12 months to 11 years have all delighted in playing with it. It’s sturdily built and has already taken some banging from hammers, along with ride on toys crashing into it, but, as yet, no sign of a scratch appearing. I actually think it’s very reasonably priced for the quality, Plum products are always reliable and their customer service is second to none. There was a part missing from the box and a slight chip in one piece and they sent out replacement parts free of charge without quibbling. A beautiful, robust product that I totally recommend for anyone looking for a play kitchen…and if you have just stumbled across this review and weren’t looking for a play kitchen why not find someone who needs one as this is PERFECT!

We bought this for my daughter (2.5year old) for Christmas. The kitchen is a striking colour and is well made. My daughter uses it every day. It's now May and she's just turned 3 and it still looks brand new. Everyone who visits say what a lovely kitchen it is and that they haven't seen a childs play kitchen that looks as good as this one! My partner built it in a couple of hours and it was easy to assemble. We got her this kitchen as she will get lots of use out of it and will still be able to play with it as she gets older. Therefore it's good value for money.

the kitchen is beautiful. the oven handle broke on Christmas day. we would like a handle replaced as child cannot open tight door without it. i tried to contact seller which does offer refund/replacement but i would have to return the 5 hour built kitchen in order to receive a replacement kitchen. i dont want the kitchen replaced only a new handle posted out. it also states that i don’t post item the cost of another kitchen will automatically be taken out for the new one they send. this process might work for small items but not helpful for what I need. hoping this is read by seller and handle can be posted.

Purchased for this Xmas and have only put the fridge together so far and the rest is all ready to finish assembling. I bought a 6mm MDF board and got it cut in B&Q into 3 pieces for 3 extra shelves in the fridge/freezer (sizes are 263mm x369mm x2 + 178mm x369mm x1narrow one because of the ice dispenser) Then covered with white gloss D C Fix paper and purchased some self adhesive shelf brackets to rest them on. Update: Xmas has come and gone and building the rest was complete fine. The extra selves in the fridge were definitely needed due to buying too much food stuff lol. The kitchen is amazing quality and sturdy.

Great kitchen but unfortunately one of the supporting parts for the top shelf came broken straight from the box. A few other minor scrapes on a few other parts too sadly

Good quality play kitchen; blue one purchased. It took a while to assemble as it has many numbered parts (all were present) but quality takes time. The ice dispenser unit is a separate free-standing item which gives flexibility in positioning for use but would benefit from a few more ‘ice cubes’ as only 2 are provided.

This kitchen could be so amazing, but unfortunately some bits were broken which we discovered after well into assembly, and there is no way to get replacement parts. You have to return the whole thing which is impossible at this stage. The size is great for our 3 and 1 year olds - it’s tall enough so the 3yo doesn’t tower over it, and they can both play with it together at the same time. It’s just a shame that the quality isn’t what it should be. In addition to the broken pieces, it arrived with some nicks in the paint and a few chips on corners.

The kitchen is really sturdy, nice colour, took a while to assemble but the instructions were easy to follow step by step. Kids were delighted with it. There's light in cooker and microwave. My only problem is with the tap it's pretty useless as if it's not tightened it would twist off so they can't "turn it on" but apart from that its great.
