**Second purchase...because there are a few things that are not included in the instructions that I’d like to pass on. Again, I love these stickers—so much that I bought more to replace the ones *I* messed up...but I wish I had known these things:1) When you first take them off the roll, lay them out straight and weigh them down with a few heavy objects to straighten them out. It is a pain to handle and easier to make mistakes if they are curling up on you.2) Try to take exact measurements—they are actually a few inches longer than my stair risers—using an X-acto blade does a far better job getting the exact dimensions.3) ***GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME***. Can’t emphasize that enough. IF you try to reposition them even once, they will end up pulling off. Maybe not immediately—the ones I tried to reposition were fine for a couple of months before they pulled away—but they will. Seriously. It would be better for it to be imperfect—which most people won’t notice anyway—because it is very unforgiving. In fact, that is my only complaint about these stickers—this should be stated very clearly in the instructions. Many peel and stick things are more forgiving, but not these. Also, after you apply them, immediately check for air bubbles or places where they are not completely adhering. If so, smooth it out and hold it down for at least one minute. I use my forearm to really weigh it down. If you wait...see above.I know this sounds like a pain, but it really isn’t. But I wouldn’t recommend opening them up and immediately slapping them on the way I did the first time. It only takes about 15-20 mins to do it right and they really are pretty. Also, I put these on 8 months ago: the ones I did correctly still look great. Again, my *only* complaint is that these instructions aren’t clearly stated. But they are great. After all, I went to the same dealer and bought the exact same stickers to repair the ones I goofed on. I wouldn’t do that if I didn’t love them.I’m actually stunned by how great they look. Completely transformed my dim, not-in-great-shape staircase. Everybody who sees it raves about it. The only caveat I would give is this: take the time to line it up perfectly the first time. If you try to take it off and reapply, it will start peeling. The others are fine, not peeling at all, so those two are on me (and at least I know it doesn’t damage the finish of the stairs). Even then, one command strip and they’re as good as new. And it’s perfect for renters like me...just make sure you get it right the first time.

These are really beautiful, and they are photographs of actual tiles. Haven't put them up yet, but will update when I do. The only reason I took off a star is that it makes no sense that on both ends of each strip there is a partial tile. They should really be made so that none have a partial tile, since the dimensions of both partials at either end add up to more than a tile's width. So to try to explain: most likely the strip will have to be cut so there is a partial tile showing, but the way they are now, for an average width stair you either have to have partial tiles on both sides, or line it up so there is a whole tile on one end (thereby cutting off one partial tile, and then having to take another one from another strip if you want more whole tiles to show.) Kind of hard to explain, and It's not a huge deal, but it could have been thought out much better for the end consumer.UPDATE AFTER APPLICATION: They look amazing, and are very easy to apply. I did find after a few months, they started peeling off the risers on my stairs. This could have been because I didn't clean the surface adequately before, IDK. But a little lo temp hot glue solved the problem. They still look great!

They look really cute and easy to put on the stairs. Overall they stick pretty well, I’ve had them since summertime. I’ve had to smooth them a couple times when they start to pucker at the top but it’s not in a regular where I’m constantly smoothing them back to the stair. I love the pattern and color. Easy to trim to size.

I absolutely love the way these turned out. Very easy to install and easy to cut to size. The adhesive is very forgiving, allowing you to reposition as necessary without losing any of its ability to stick. It is much easier to install than standard contact paper and you do not get a lot of air bubbles; huge plus! If you buy more than one, know that the patterns do repeat in each pack. There is a lot of blue in the patterns. I gave it 4 stars only because I wish the colors were more vivid (they seem a little subdued) and that the manufacturer would have provided the tool to smooth it with. I've gotten several compliments and some have actually mistaken it for ceramic tiles. I would definitely recommend this as an inexpensive way to spruce up your stairway.

Ordered these decals because I was looking for an easy way to jazz up our stairs. Wanted to try something unique and fun. Didn’t want to fully commit to a huge project, so though decals would be a safe option. I was pleasantly surprised when I received these decals as they are of thicker stock (thickness) than expected! Furthermore the actual tile print is of high quality, giving a convincing appearance of real tile. I even added a faux grout line along the stair tread to further enhance the look! Very pleased with the outcome. The only con is that there is a wasted tile, which is cut off like a third. So there is a wasted length. Fortunately, one tile would had to been cut off anyway to fit the length of the riser. I also had to cut off approx 1/4” from top and bottom to evenly fit on the stair risers. All in all very pleased. Took about 3-4 hrs to do entire stairs. Easily reversible in future as sticker would be able to be peeled off. Couldn’t do that with tile. Verdict: Go for it!

I love these, totally worth the money and effort. It took me two packs to do my whole staircase. My only criticism is that They shouldn’t come in strips. It should just be a whole roll so we can cut to the length needed. Each strip had a partial tile on either end, which I think is kind of a waste. There should just be whole tiles connected. I ended up cutting the ends off, and now have a bunch of partial tile pieces when I could have had the entire tile and dive something worn them. Bad design flaw as far as I’m concerned. Easy for the company to fix.

Had these for a few weeks now, still looking great and easy to apply. Transformes the stairs completly.]Great product.

This is a perfect product, no kidding. Some people say its to thin. I disagree. People think I tiled my steps before touching it. I put the little quarter round as you can see. The reason for that is because of years of painting the back risers left white spots on the bottom. I highly recommend this product to renew steps.

I was so prepared for a horrible install experience and for it to look yucky in the end. So glad to be wrong. Im not the handiest but this was really easy. Sticks well but not impossible to readjust while ur placing it. My plain white stairs are so much more fun now. Very happy with this product. Can’t speak to how long it will stick since i only did this a week ago but so far so good. Exactly the look i was hoping for

Ok these stickers have really really really beautified my staircase. Installation was quiet easy, make sure you order the correct size. At first, when I saw the stickers I thought the colours are dull but after installation the overall affect it leaves is so satisfying and colourful. Love it.

I used these pieces as a backsplash in my kitchen. I did find them a little hard to line up and keep the bubbles out of such large pieces but, I've dealt with much worse products, so I can't compain too much. In the end it all worked out and I'm happy with the product and the results.
