I buy boxes of this stuff a year for mtn biking. My typical weekend ride is typically 40 miles or more. Weekday rides average 15 miles. Wo the instant energy it provides, I couldn't still do what I love at 58yo

Different product than before
Not only are the ingredients different, but also the packaging is thinner and they puncture easily too. I know these have been discontinued, so I guess it’s just my luck.

I used to use Gu energy gels but recently switched to these. The flavour is good and the $ per unit is decent. The one thing I wasn't expecting is how big these are. They're easily 2-3X the size of a regular gel. This is because they're very liquid. So they're easy to drink quickly and you also get some added hydration. I really like that for my 10k runs. I'd imagine they might be a bit awkward to carry multiples for a longer run. Recommended!
