These tops are fun. It does take a very fast spin to light it up. I don't think real young children would be able to spin it fast enough. It also doesn't light up for more than 10 seconds and eventually it will stop lighting up altogether.

I going to pass out for a preschool trick or trunk my granddaughter absolutely loved them and she said her friends love the coming from almost 4 year old!

The tops themselves are good. Cute colors, good size, right shape. However, at least half of the ones in our box don't light up, so if you are purchasing specifically for that features, these are not the ones to get. Otherwise, would recommend.
