The lid is thick plastic as well, so if you set something on top, it wouldn’t break the eggs. Great having this as some of the cartons eggs come in are flimsy and difficult to open. It’s a great value for the money. Wish I’d bought 1 sooner!

Fits perfectly in the door of my fridge. Easy to get to. It comes with a lid, which I’m not using at this time.
