This pill cutter does exactly what it is supposed to do. It cuts pills cleanly and accurately. It has an adjustable clamp that holds pills securely in place, which is very helpful. I used it to split 10 mg pills into 2.5 mg pieces, and it handled that easily and consistently without the pills sliding around. One downside is cleanup. Because the material is very grippy, pill dust tends to stick to it after cutting. You cannot just rinse it off quickly. It usually takes a bit of scrubbing to fully clean the residue. That said, the grip is also what makes it effective at holding pills steady, so it is a reasonable trade-off. Overall, it is simple, effective, and reliable for accurately cutting pills.

This product was a winner. Difficult to break tiny pills even though there were scored, the pill splitter to the rescue. Perfect splits with no crushing. I did make sure the pills were snug using the roller bar to secure and then lined up the score in the center using a butter knife to turn and adjust. Worked perfectly.

I've used pill cutters in the past, but this cutter, the DEPAD Pill Cutter Splitter, is a great little device. What I like is that it makes cutting pills so much faster. Instead of having to cut one pill at a time, this cutter can handle many more. I also can hold the pills in place while you make the cut. I'll never use another pill cutter other than the DEPAD Pill Cutter.

This pill cutter works well and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The cut is clean and it feels sturdy and easy to use. My only minor complaint is that I wish it were a bit wider so I could cut larger pills, like magnesium pills, horizontally instead of having to turn them vertically. Overall, it’s a reliable pill cutter and a good value, just with a small design limitation.

This pill cutter is very sharp and does a great job. It is easy to use and small enough to travel with. I would highly recommend this product.

I really like that it has the adjustable dials on the side to actually hold the pills in place, offering a pretty clean cut with little waste or crumbling of the pills. It cost a little more than some other pill cutters on here, but it’s definitely worth it!

I cut seven oval pills at the same time and all the cuts were precisely in the center. Flawless operation and a real time saver if you have a large prescription to cut. I cut 90 pills in just a few minutes.

So in terms of cutting pills directly in half, and multiple ones at that, this is perfect. You can line up 4/5 pills, tighten the sides so that they are held perfectly in place, and then it will cut right through them essentially perfectly: no crumbling or little pieces breaking off (if you cut it while it's loose though, this might happen). However, my issue arises afterwards, when I want to now cut those pills into quarters. When you are cutting circular pill that has already been cut in half, you're essentially cutting a half moon. This means that the pill needs to be lined up perfectly down the middle horizontally. It also DOES ADVERTISE AS CUTTING PILLS INTO 1/4, 1/8, ETC. To quote the product page directly: "【Easy to Use】Just place the pills in the cutter, adjust 2 bars that ensure the pills stay in place. Then you press the top down evenly—push in the center. It can cut your tablet/vitamin/supplement into 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 easily." The sides that you tighten to normally achieve this when the pill is hole are NOT suitable for this. As you tighten it, because the pill is not a perfect circle, you see the pill start to rotate. If you do not place this half pill PERFECTLY (which requires it to be offset a bit), it will line it up not down the middle, but instead into like a 1/3 and 2/3 split. So, this does NOT cut pills neatly into quarters (1/4). If your tablet was either rectangular or EXTREMELY LARGE, it probably would do it very well. But for normal pills, once you put that cut half into there and try and tighten it, it starts lining up poorly. The mechanism that makes this cutter ideal for cutting pills PERFECTLY IN HALF is also what makes it unsuitable for cutting pills into quarters. I love the machine for what it does, but just wish I had realized that based on its design before I bought it. I have tons of pills I have to split in half which this is GREAT FOR, but tons that I ALSO need to split into quarters which this is...less than ideal for. So, in short: this cutter is GREAT at splitting pills in half, whatever their shape or size, because of how you can tighten the sides in a vice like way. However, what makes it perfect for that almost makes it unsuitable for cutting pills into bits smaller than halves. So I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH FOR SPLITTING PILLS IN HALF, ESPECIALLY MULTIPLE PILLS. However, if you are like me and need to subsequently split some of those up into quarters, it is not very suitable for that. Great product, great design for what it does, I just wish I HAD REALIZED how it would be more difficult to use it to cut circles into quarters instead of halves. It doesn't say it will specifically cut into quarters, but it does advertise I would give it 4.5/5 if I could.

This pill cutter is really well designed. You can easily align concentric pills, apply the grip, and with a relatively light touch, cleanly cut a number of pills perfectly in half. For more oval shaped pills they can be slightly offset so that when the soft grip is applied they can be evenly cut. Excellent value for a very practical item!

At first it cut small pills into halves very nicely. 2nd time round, one part of the pill holder came off. Managed to push it back and used it. Recently, I used it again, and after cutting 6 small pills into halves nicely, as I poured out the halved pills, one of the pill holder dropped off. So I did the same thing - pushed it back in place, and managed to halve another batch of small pills. Earlier, I took this pillcutter out, something dropped off, and it's not the one part of the pill holder. managed to figure out it fits the inside of the cutter (see pix) and it looked like it had a missing part.

Live this thing. I’d been using a single pill at a time for ages and my pills wouldn’t cut straight, now I can cut 6 pills at a time and they’re perfect halves!

Such a great buy. My pills always shattered with the single splitter. This one holds them and stops the pills from shattering.

Best to place tablets touching the top.
