Quick, Easy, Silent, Perfect
Perfect addition to my gym. I've recently downsized the equipment I use, now with the Hyperbell Straight Bar, EZ Curl and Kettlebell I can fully utilize the dumbbells I have. I also us some magnet add on weights, that attached to the dumbbells to make increasing set weight quick and easy and maximize the workout. Silent---No rattling plates to wake up the family on those early or late night quick pump sessions. Love it. Strong. Easy to use. Great Customer Service.

Pretty decent solution
Grabbed this on sale via Amazon's Prime Day deal. Seemed like a better solution than buying a longer bar and using olympic weights (at least here I can use the dumbbells I already have). It's a solution and will work - but it's not a full replacement if your intention is to do full barbell workouts. I however, only plan to do limited barbell workouts with dumbbells being used primarily. As such, it is a solution that saves space, money, and suffices. Others mentioned the dumbbells slide and move within the clasps, but I do not find that to be the case. I am using amazon basics dumbbells and they are not flat (they are lifted and rounded in the middle). The jaylfex has foam inside the clips and along with the rounding it stops any movement. The problem with the solution is that the dumbbells are awkward. This means the weight is sort of dispersed incorrectly and when you pick up the bar it flops so the dumbbell is north and south (rather than how most of us hold them east and west). As I say, depending on the exercises you do, this may not prove to be an issue - but it should be noted that the bar prefers to be in a certain position. If I bought at full price I'd probably return, but at the Prime Day price I paid, I'll just keep it and use for shoulder shrugs and hip raises.

Great for making your dumbbells into a more versatile barbell, but with limitations...
I have the adjustable Core Fitness Dumbbells that got from 5-50 lbs, and a flat adjustable bench I use for various exercises. This seemed like a great way to be able to do some straight bar bench presses, shrugs/deadlifts/squats, etc., even tho I'm limited to light weight (100 lbs max, as the bar weighs very little) So for deadlifts, shrugs, or bicep curls/triceps extensions, this does the job pretty well. The down side to getting the bar to your chest in order to do bench press, is that with out a rack, you basically have to snatch/clean the bar as you lay back on the bench to get it on top of your chest. It can be done by resting it across your thighs as you sit, if you're going all the way flat, you pop your legs up and can rotate into position. Doing incline chest press gives you much less room to move, and this can be difficult to do w/ 100 lbs. I weigh about 160 lbs myself, so bigger people might not struggle as much. Without a squat rack to get under the bar, there's really no safe way to get this bar across your back/shoulders for squats, unless you're going w/ light weight. Point being, know the limits for what you want to do. Also the plastic collars are disappointing, as they seem cheap/flimsy compared to the construction of the bar and dumbbell holders, (holders are also plastic, but thick and sturdy). The red screw-down collars are working well so far, so maybe they'll last as long as you don't abuse them. For $130, this is a good home gym addition if you want some variety in your equipment.

Versatile, Easy to Use, and Saves Space
This is such a great product idea for anyone who wants the versatility of different workouts without buying a bunch of separate equipment. This dumbbell converter is easy to put together and instantly turns dumbbells into a kettlebell. It feels solid during use and works exactly how a kettlebell should. Perfect for home workouts, especially if you are short on space but still want a wide range of exercises. Honestly, what more could you ask for?

Great addition to my home gym
I just got mine today. The hex dumbbells that I have, they do move around just a tad due to the length of my dumbbell handle like some other reviews mention but the exercises I’m using this for, they do not move at all (RDLs, bench presses etc). I also placed an extra piece of foam in there and it eliminated the moving completely. I think ima rig up something more firm to use if I feel like it’s an issue.

It's ok - pretty decent but only for free dumbells
Seems to do a pretty decent job so far but have only used it for 10s and 20's. I don't know how I feel about putting something with much more weight in there as the clamping piece is all plastic. I wish they just used metal throughout even if they charged a bit more. Just seems with plastic, that type of stuff always ends up getting brittle over time, warps and breaks. The thin little red collar part seems especially lightweight and not sure how it will hold up over time lifting and putting the bar back down. They should have at least made that piece metal. And if the red piece breaks, then what? At the mercy of the company selling you a replacement part at elevated cost + s&h - if they even do at all. When swapping between weights, it's not really a quick and easy process either. I was reallllly hoping that it would work with my set of power blocks so then I could just quickly swap weights on the power blocks instead of unscrewing the clamp everytime, but the clamp part is just too bulky and can't fit in there; I would need to dismantle the power block handle which itself would be a pita to do every time. For what it is, it seems OK but could def be improved quite a bit. Hope it doesn't give me problems which it looks like it has the possibility to down the road.

This is great when it works. But gets quite flimsy for weights exceeding 20kg. I’ve had this for 18 months, and the poor thing died after just doing KB swings with a 20kg weight. I can’t seem to find any information on a warranty. I think I’ll be looking for a more solid solution in future.

I like the fact it’s steal pipe not plastic, but I was hoping it would be a bit wider. So I cut it half and sleeved it in an 1 1/4” pipe, now I can use my click weights (90lbs a side) and use my rack for doing bench press and squats military press.
